Dear bungie,
I'm sure many will agree when I say this decision paired with your decision to lock most content until the completion of the raid makes the release date for the expansion pretty much worthless!
Original^
Update-
Okay for clarification, most people seem to agree that in the update they mean completion of the story will open up end game content. Fine I'll go along with that, but they are vague, so that's not 100% guaranteed.
Secondly, VoG coming out a week after launch is not a valid argument, back then it took 27 levels and getting lucky with gear to get in. That's not an issue anymore, there's plenty of ways to get ready.
Third, by me saying "day one" I do not mean I am going to go thru it day one, but when I am.ready and geared I want the option, giving us the "it will be hot on the heels of launch" does not mean it will be a week Luke most think, again it's vague it could be a month for all we know. Normal mode should be an option at launch, with Hard mode being "Hot on the heels"
Fourth, now this is a personal statement you can skip and hate monger below idc. For me I am not going to have the time to invest like most will anymore. I love this game and never really complain about the changes or lack of this or that. I find things to do, I play more than most and don't get bored. But I now work 7 days a week, and just started college today. So my time is very limited. I wanted to be able to enjoy it 5o it'd fullest that first week, I used my last 2 vacation days to play, and they just dropped this on us 2 weeks prior to it coming out. So now I am stuck with those days. Now my experience will
Be diminished by everyone knowing how to do everything. I wanted to be able to take a day and explore it with my friends and won't b3 able to have that chunk of time to do so like so many others.
So sorry for the skepticism, and the uproar caused. But for me this decision has me pissed off.
Now you can insert you "Stfu" comments like you already are

3 RisposteStop playing destiny and throw ur copy in the trash please

49 RisposteSpeak for yourself scrub, every day one knows raids are not available first day.
-
7 RisposteWhat, you're going to play through the story, get through the strikes, get good gear, get to light level 200 and, reach level 40 on day one? that's saying you don't explore all the new environments and features with things like the new weapon upgrade systems, ghost shells, weapon foundries, etc.
-
Wtf are you talking about? nothing is going to be locked if you haven't completed the raid.
-
6 RisposteBungies main issue now is lack of trust. Rewind back to just before HoW dropped. Bungie says "There is no raid in HoW. A raid will be released at a later time." Of course, this leads many to believe that the raid is just delayed. In reality, there was NEVER going to be a HoW raid and the "sometime later" ends up being with the next paid expansion. So, now Bungie says "the raid will not drop with TTK"? Perhaps it is just a pause for dramatic effect, but given past history I wonder.

Ffs enjoy the ride. We all know what happens at the end
Team beats raid and the guy that died the most and killed the least gets the sword of Oryx
1 RispondiI don't know why so many people have a problem with this, what if they had released VoG day one? Nobody would be able to complete it or even attempt it until they ranked up to 26. By waiting a few weeks it gave everybody a chance to rank up and acquire some gear first, giving people a fair shot at world first. Crota's end was a bit different because they only raised the level cap by two, and most people could already enter the raid immediately. This time they're raising the cap by 6 and the normal raid itself is at level 38, so it's going to be a little while before you'll be able to attempt it anyway.
-
7 RisposteAs Luke Smith said, nothing will be locked if you haven't completed the Raid. It's the final event of the expansion, that's all. This is actually pretty normal. So many people want to be the first to do it, but this way everyone has a fair start and can be levelled properly.

6 RispostePlease don't tell me you actually thought you were going to be able to attempt the raid day 1.......
-
3 Rispostelol for one you won't be high enough LVL right after it drops to run and or complete it
-
They're not gating content behind the raid. The comment that was made about having to deal with oryx before doing the end game content was most likely referring to the story missions. I seriously doubt they would force raid content on anyone, they haven't yet.
-
No one would be ready to do the new raid on day one anyways. Who cares

8 RisposteHow do you explain this then?
-
You don't have to complete the raid, just the story missions leading up to it, not like anyone is going to be ready for the raid day one regardless
-
3 RisposteWhen the hell did it say everything is locked until the raid is complete?
-
I'm definitely not in that "many" you are speaking of. You are speaking for yourself. Muted.

13 RisposteModificato da Pierro40: 8/31/2015 12:58:34 PMYou already forgot .... Bungie = worth dev ever (they probably just don't finish it yet ...)
-
3 RisposteSo so so much misinformation in this post is overwhelming. Literally everything you've mentioned is false. Content that is locked is only ttc content and only until you finish the story. Raid IS coming out day one when ttk is released. So, either stop trolling or use your eyes like eyes and read.
-
3 RisposteIt's being released literally a week after TTK will. Much like how VoG was released a week after destiny was launched.
-
Don't complain they did the same thing with VoG
