You guys are still playing this game??
I'm still suprised that none have you have completely burnt yourselves out on this game. Expecially since all that would keep you playing this game is the RNG system. I've stopped playing this game since THCR b/c of the serious issues with the server. But looking back I feel it was the right thing b/c I felt like something like this would happen. On PSN the Guardian Edition was $80 when it first came out. And now TTK is coming out but I need to pay $40 more to get it. But a person who hasn't bought it yet can pay $80 to get all of it.
And I congratulate you Bungie and Activision for creating a game so much like gambling that I'm suprised nobody has tried to sue you yet.
Enjoy your games I will check in from time to time to see how much worse of a game you can make it.
Oh you think I will buy your pos dlc now I laugh at your idiotic ideas I will simply refer back to youtube or the like.
Enjoy the game for the first year that was the beta after the beta.
P.S. I had so much hope for this game. Oh well.

Nope not anymore I'm done as of now! I literally just got got a message that my online communications has been suspended for a week because someone reported me for bad behavior! Don't worry about the hate comments, if you bring people's problems (such as gambling in this instance) to their attention then they get on the defensive. A way to be a SMART consumer is to not buy TTK, and if you want to feed the cancer of the gaming community, then buy TTK.

It's like going to a baseball game and asking people why they like baseball, despite you not liking baseball. I'll humor you though. I play because I enjoy playing with friends, running around, blowing up things and being able to get into the game, play for a few hours or less and feel like I got somewhere (for the most part, leveling armor and weapons etc.) More than anything though, it's the social aspect that grabs me. I've run into quite a few cool players on here, and I enjoy running content with them. Be it grinding for glimmer/marks, running a raid to help a newbie get their hands on that elusive weapon or running around in PvP (getting crushed by superior players at that, but it's still fun in its own way) The laughs, and the pains that go along with it. Sure other games offer that, but this is what we all enjoy doing, and so far, the game has not grown stale for me or my clan. Why? Because we don't typically play 24/7 (not implying you have), I take breaks, go to the gym, watch movies and hang out with friends. You know, living life. I'm sorry this game wasn't your cup of tea, but I think you'd be better off finding a game that does suit what you like. Unless you're just unbelievably bored, and enjoy posting topics like this. Not going to judge, but that just seems silly to me.

I quit playing after TDB. I spent $60 on the game and $20 for the first DLC. I have occasionally been watching the forums and will probably jump back in if the TTK reviews are generally positive. I found the Legendary Edition for Xbox for $60 not $80, which includes everything. Am I missing something?

Wouldn't it be great strategy to keep the base price $60, the 2 dlc for $30, and charge another $20ish for TTK. Man wouldn't that attract new players? Like that gambling metaphor, think I saw it on YouTube..... Listen, sarcasm aside, how about looking at it this way. Some of us A. Realize prices drop over time. Getting in initially is always going to cost more. Adding content will cost even more. B. Attractive pricing for a bundle will hopefully draw new players in. More players are not a bad thing. C. RNG issues reportedly have been tweaked and addressed. Given that I enjoy playing Destiny I'm willing to wait and see before I cry foul. Unless you have a time machine, that's the only way to know. Lastly, yes, it has flaws. I've been playing video games since they were invented. Hasn't been one game yet that is perfect, and will never be one that's perfect for everyone. Ever. So, hey, enjoy whatever you move on to. In the meanwhile I'll be enjoying what I like. I bet, just maybe, we will see you back here after TTK drops.

I understand where you're coming from. I was really disappointed with the game and Bungie overall at first. I refused to pay for overpriced DLCs. But when the Expansion Pass was on sale, I went for it and I'm really happy I did. Thanks to those DLCs, the game finally became fun for me. I know, those DLCs were supposed to be in the original game in the first place and Activision is just milking money out of us. But anyway, I still think I got my money worth. I still continue to play because I am gaining my trust in Bungie back. I can see they are improving the game based on our feedback and I really like what they're doing with TTK.
