Bungie is controlled by N-A-Z-IS
They won't let us play how we want, they force new shit content down our throats that can't compete with old content. They remove what makes us legends. How can they justify not allowing all exotics to carry forward? This isn't destiny 2! And to everyone saying to stop bitching and new stuff is good, I pose this question: was there any weapon worth mentioning in HOW? Why go back and forth in allowing gear to be ascended? Artificially inflating play time much?
The only reason we kept playing through that HOW junk was because of the joy using our favorite weapons brought us. Since all the new content is do lacking, the only thing we can enjoy is using the fun gear we acquired to make US LEGENDS
Also why even strive for the new content knowing it will be garbage in a matter of months? It cuts the play time by so much because the only content worth replaying for is the good weapons we grind for. After finishing the story in a few hours, the only thing that keeps core players going is the grind for good loot. Now there is no point knowing it will all be for nothing in a short period of time.

As for ascending weapons it was because people couldn't let go of weapons, people like you. If they never allowed ascending in the first place people would still be bitching. It's a good thing they're stopping it, it ruins the natural progression of things. A weapon/tool doesn't make a man a legend, his actions do. A soldier isn't made a legend by his rifle, he is made a legend through the lives he saves, through the wars he stops. His actions, not his rifle.

Thats probably the formula: Start of year mega content drop Raid and great weapons (The most intense grind) 1st dlc and decent content drop Okay raid and good weapons (Intense grind) 2nd dlc and garbage loot More modes of play and WASTED GRIND (Trick you into playing the game until the next year). Actually get to use all of the stuff that wouldve been handy during the 1st 7 months but you had to grind it until now. Rinse and repeat
