Seriously, beating crota should be a requirement to play anything in TTK
Its the whole basis of the entire story...the new dlc should be locked until you down crota
If anyone needs help on xbox with crota gt RPO1728 on 360 and 1 we could 2 man the entire raid in about half an hour...im usually on 7-11 east coast
Edit-mostly positive responses, even if they disagree, which is OK bc im not a flat soda poster here...for good or bad i love the passion of the community, and im a man of my word, message on xbox and we'll run thru it ! Keep it coming guardians !

4 RisposteWell its no more stupid than nerfing GH because a few idiots excluded people without one. Get where you're coming from but not agood idea to exclude a ton of people from a new dlc for not buying the old dlc.

1 RispondiI don't think it should be forced. But I'm gonna do it because I personally enjoy the continuity and story stuff. Once I get the dark below expansion with TTK, I won't do any of TTK until I bring down Crota

I hated that anyone could enter crota without doing vog or do arena without doing crota. It's the way they set up armor light level through the vendors. New guys will never know the struggle of 20-30lvls.

It would be very interesting to see how that would effect raid completion rates. I think they would go up, as people would have more of an incentive to look for raid groups.

Bungie's explanation would be that oryx has some other motive like consuming all life for people who haven't done it i guess dude.

I do think you should have to complete VoG normal to unlock Crota, beat Crota to unlock PoE, and so on. On the flip side, you aren't normally required to play the first game to play the sequel.

I know, right!!! And apparently the Awoken are helping you fight him, yet why would they if you never fought Skolas? It's ridiculous as a story but smart as a gameplay mechanic. Imagine you were new and wanted to start with TTK. Whoops! Guess you have to spend another $40 for the collectors and struggle through the stories and raids.

Well there has been many of us who have killed crota, so I'm assuming the rest of the guardians who haven't are collateral damage.

I don't get it.. Any of us could have been counted as the ones to kill Crota. I don't understand why a player, whose Guardian didn't participate in Crota's End is not allowed to play the new expansion. Oryx is targeting every single one of us. Every single one of us should be able to fight.
