Its the whole basis of the entire story...the new dlc should be locked until you down crota
If anyone needs help on xbox with crota gt RPO1728 on 360 and 1 we could 2 man the entire raid in about half an hour...im usually on 7-11 east coast
Edit-mostly positive responses, even if they disagree, which is OK bc im not a flat soda poster here...for good or bad i love the passion of the community, and im a man of my word, message on xbox and we'll run thru it ! Keep it coming guardians !

If anything I think it'll be more satisfying playing through TTK story knowing you killed Crota. For the people that didn't, everybody in the story's gonna to be like 'holy poops, your the guy that killed Crota!' And said player's gonna have his head down not making eye contact like 'yup, that was me'
-
Y'all are dumb if that was actually a requirement the fanbase would lower ALOT and bungie would make less money which means less content for us. All because some people just wanted to get into the other guys business
-
3 RisposteI agree, personally I think the vendor gear should stop at level 28 and the only was to hit 30 is in VOG, then 30 to 32 is done via crota and 32 to 34 in poe. VOG in my opinion is the best content in the game and new players can just skip right on by or jump in at 32 with vendor gear.

79 RisposteOpening cutscene for the Taken King... Oryx: "You killed my son. Now I've come to kill you!" Guardian: "I never killed your son!" Oryx pulls out his phone, opens app and checks raid completions for the player. Sees zero completions for Crota's end: "Oh snap! You're right. My bad. We're cool then. Later dude." Oryx boards the Dreadnaught and flies away. ...Credits for the Taken King roll. The end.
-
Oryx "you killed my son! You will die!" Guardians "no we didn't. Are you sure you've got the right guys?" Oryx "oh sorry. I was just really worried because he hasn't been returning my calls"
-
5 RisposteI agree but won't happen cause scrubs Oryx:YOU KILLED MY SON Scrub:who? Oryx:YOU YOU KILLED MY SON CROTA Scrub: who the -blam!- is Crota I barley beat the black garden Oryx: oh never mind sorry *points at another Guardian* HEY YOU, YOU KILLED MY SON!!

1 RispondiI think in destroying the soul we killed Crota. All the raid was destroying his body. If this isn't right then why did we destroy the soul in the first place?
-
3 RisposteNah, the story line would be that other mofos beat him while you were sweeping up the other space creatures on the surface. Some Guardians are spec ops. Others run recon patrols. Some train others in the Crucible. I believe the capture of Skolas should have been a mini raid or something, and not a story mission. It made the whole affair anti-climactic.

Modificato da LordofChaos: 8/13/2015 10:27:05 PMIt is no the whole basis of the entire story, raids are not the be all end all of the game and never was or ever will be for everyone so no they will not ever do this. raids in mmo styled games do not follow a progresson like this. you do not have to do the first before doing the next. for even though this is not a mmo, it is a mmo styled open world fps rpg.

That's your opinion....and you know what they say about opinions?!?

You make a good point but...
Crota sucks
-
Lol. Bungie never thought of that
-
it really should, it breaks lore otherwise
-
That's a good point
-
At least on normal. It's stupid easy on normal. Hard is still a glitch filled shitfest though. Well, technically so is normal, but the revives make the glitches suck less.
-
Because 85% of this destiny community hasn't even raided. It's a staggering number I know. But they did say only 15% of players actually completed a raid. So with your theory ( which I like) only 15-20% of players would actually get to play it
-
5 RisposteFor overall story consistency, killing Crota should be the event that triggers the unlocking of TTK content, but it will never happen because the raids are not accessible like the story missions. I think it would be a cool idea, but Bungie will turn off casuals or people who inexplicably refuse to use one of the many tools available to find a group.
-
Makes sense for story continuity but that's about it. You don't really want to scare off new players by puting them any further behind year one players and from my understanding ttk looks like it will give new people the best Chance yet to catch up with current players.
