I personally don't think he was that bad, he just sounded like himself? I think changing the entire dialogue with the new guy is a bit much?
Thoughts?

I definitely didn't feel like it was a good performance but I blame directors, and editing. Dinklage has proven his chops. A bad performance from a good actor is typically a director issue. The new guy is a good addition because he primarily does voice acting. So even with a bad director I reckon this fellow can make it happen.

2 RisposteI didn't. I thought he was good. It's a shame he didn't want to come back but I don't blame him.
-
No. I blame Bungie. Period.
-
RIP: "Where's his Ghost?"
-
I think he himself could have done better, it may have been poor editing choices by Bungie to make him too robotic at times and the fact that he's not a voice actor. I didn't mind him, but outside of the "little light" part of the cutscene, I don't think I'll miss DinkleBot
-
1 RispondiIf they were to replacexhim at all id rather they did it with john dimaggio, but hes slready on banshee, but really it take alotvof others before nolan north, nothing against him hes just too normal, rather have sam l jackson or christopher walken, or multiples with an option to switch between them but that would take ridiculous amounts of money
-
5 RisposteI would have rather had this scenario: Dinklebot goes with you to the dreadnought, first mission Oryx destroys him, in a sad way. Then you find a dead ghost, activate it, and Nolanbot becomes your ghost and helps you avenge dinklebot.
-
10 RisposteIn an interview Peter said bungie screwed him.
-
2 RisposteI never had an issue with Dinklage, to throw away his work just like that seems kind of overkill and if I was him I'd feel disrespected by Bungie. Now don't get me wrong, he might have wanted this too, we just don't know the full story.
-
Screw him, Nolan north is better for the work he has down in the past
-
2 RisposteBungie claim its an availability thing, and that wouldn't actually surprise me. Dinklage is a busy man now, and I imagine they would have wanted him in the two previous DLC's but couldn't get him, and the only way to get consistency with the character was to recast. This is a good thing for the story really, considering Ghost is the only character you interact with properly in the game most of the time instead of random banter during mission, it'll be important going forward for him to have more of a presence, and that wouldn't be possible with Dinklage
-
His voice was a good fit, but the lines were very badly delivered
-
Like previously stated, my guess is one of three issues. He wasn't able to, didn't want to, or wanted more money than bungie was willing to pay.
-
You know there is the chance that he's the one that didn't want to comeback.
-
He could have put more effort into it.
-
That wizard came from the moon
-
The very first mission is bad and so was the Alpha. But after that he is good for the rest of the game. He's been the only memorable tone for this game other than Variks. (And Variks is annoying) But the game felt really empty without Dinklebot during The Dark Below. So if we can avoid that, then I guess it's fine.

1 RispondiHe just sound too boring. He put no exaggeration or fun into his act and just ruined the atmosphere.
-
I don't have time to explain how much I hated dinklebot
-
I did. My couch had more personality.
-
Nope. Im takin over
-
Bungie said its because of scheduling issues. Dinklage got flak for a boring performance. Uninspired as he sounded, he wasn't given much to work with either.
-
He just was so boring, it sucked the entertainment out of what dialogue existed in the game.
-
2 RisposteDinklage was too busy, and wasn't available. Nolan North (the new Ghost voice actor) is more readily available as this sort of thing is his career. They are replacing the old dialogue so it's not jarring for new players.
-
1 RispondiI would pay alot of money for the choice of peter griffin
-
2 RisposteI actually would like to know what happens to my real life Dinklebot (I bought the Ghost Edition that has a real Ghost with Dinklage's voice) once he's rubbed out of the game? Will it's value increase over time when people have either forgotten that he ever voiced Ghost, or are noobs and simply didn't know to begin with... Kind of like an oddity? I've been wondering this for a while now.
