Seriously, I started looking for dead ghosts yesterday, and my Grimoire went up from like 2850 to 3115. So whoever says you're a noob for having low Grimoire is an idiot. Here's a list of what I've accomplished in this game:
-Beaten both raids on hard mode numerous times
-Have gotten all 3 characters to 34 (warlock is wearing lower piece of armor to level rn, that's why he's 33)
-Have all exotic weapons except Dreg's Promise
-Beaten Skolas before and after changes
-Gone flawless in Trials
-Gotten to rank 5 in Iron Banner
-All Moments of Triumph done
-Beaten hard VOG and hard Crota as relic holder/swordbearer
The fact that people associate Grimoire score with skill is just dumb. You can find every dead ghost in the game and look really experienced even if you picked up the game just the other week. And character/weapon Grimoire...not everyone wants to use every type consistently, we all have a favorite class and set of weapons to play on.

1 RispondiLol getting to 3500 is easy if you do all that, the other 800 to max it will be from cruicable. 100 wins in rumble, salvage etc. if you got them, turn pretty much you're a complete player that's good at pve as well as pvp. However, there are players with grimoire less than 3000 but only dedicated to pvp. So don't let the grimoire fool you, and don't be too quick to judge either!
-
Lol you aren't even that good so you shouldn't be taking. You're a below average player so why make this post? You're right in saying grimoire didn't show skill but I'm fact most of them time it does. It's rare to see a high grimoire person do badly and low grimoire person do amazing. However you have no right to say this cause you're just a scrub.
also iron banner is stupid. Only scrubs care about it.
Grimore to me is like moments of truimph thing shows that you have beaten more of the game, also idc what people say higher grimore tends to show a little more skill, love seeing a fireteam full of 2800 in trails

3 RisposteModificato da Angelina Sov: 8/9/2015 4:12:19 PMTo me, grimoire shows wisdom and nothing else. I'm talking about all of your collected grimoire despite dead ghosts Obviously high grimoire means you have been playing the game for either a long time or a decent amount of time No one who just purchased the game yesterday will already have a grimoire of 3000+ Grimoire does not show skill. This is what a lot of players (especially the ones looking for teams to complete in-game activities) fail to realize Now you can probably point out that one with plenty of wisdom is one with plenty of skill. This is also not true. Someone may have been around to tell the tales of their adventures inside the VoG, but it does not mean that they were very fluent in completing it, flawless, very skilled at every aspect, etc. So all in all, grimoire, to me, shows wisdom. Not skill. Also not completely useless. It helps you determine who may have been around for a while, but that's it. It cannot determine skill, once more

You get 540 grimoire for ghosts. Low grimoire does mean lots.
-
And you've only found 52 dead ghosts there's 78.
-
That's still pretty low grimoire
-
3 RisposteI agree with part of you statement but. Grimiore = experience and experience = skill. 99% of the time I load into a crucible match and see some one with a sub 3000 grimiore I think they will be easy. There is that 1% chance it's the guy that has 1 character and doesn't play pve. 3000-3300 to me means and above average player with skills. 3300 plus means I might have to put my try hards on.
-
The way I see it, just subtract the amount of grim pure given from acquiring the 77 ghosts and you'll get sort of a better indicator to skill level
-
I just like collecting it
-
6 RisposteSo my Grimoire of 3620 means nothing to you? ):
-
1 Rispondiyea, but its the only endgame right now
-
All higher grimoire means is you've played the game for a longer period of time. Nothing more, nothing less.
-
Grimiore doesn't matter to me,if you can play the game right and know what you're doing then I have no problem playing with you.
-
let's say ttk is out So If I'm gathering a raid team for TTK, and I've already completed it, and as of right now it's still impossible to do with people who are clueless. I post on the forums "*insert taken King raid name here* fresh run need 5 I start getting people, and they suck... I ask "have you guys done this before?" They say yes I check their grimoire and see they haven't even completed it on normal or have any of the new boss grimoire cards. While having <25 raid completions I boot them immediately. Grimoire doesn't mean anything? Yeah right. ~trickshot1002 ︻デ┳═ー

i think both grimoire score and what you listed are just small chunks of a larger whole. a person that started right before they changed skolas (month or so ago?) could have done everything you listed. that person is still technically a noob to the destiny universe. all in all no one should be concerned with what anyone has to say about their k/d, their grimoire or anything else. enjoy the game for what it is (or isn't), hopefully have some great friends to play with to avoid all the idiots on the game and just make peace with yourself. forget what anyone has to freaking say. there are devs and other bungie employees that haven't even spent that much time in their own game, don't let foolish insignificant stuff bother you is my advice to all.

3 RisposteGrimoire is basically your destiny digital penis size.
-
5 RisposteIt doesn't mean anything. Only 1 card means anything. But Ghosts aren't as much as people think.
-
It is just experience.
-
haha
hahahaha
-
Grimoire is EXPERIENCE. I just wanted the Ghost Achievement.
-
If playing trials the enemy team all have max or near max grimoire I can generally say it's going to be a tougher match because the grimoire score means they play a lot of pvp, but that doesn't always work! I have nearly max grimoire, it will be max soon but I am not a good pvp player! Lol It can give some hints as to skill level but cannot be trusted 100%.
-
I know, sad sad people only judge on grimoire.
-
Disagree..
-
Grimoire is just lore... That Bungie didn't add in destiny's campaign. Instead of good story they give us Swiss -blam!-ing cheese... And then the DLC explains more when we have to pay for it
-
8 RisposteTo you it means nothing, but to completionists it means a lot, to those that want to learn the story it means a lot, to a lot of people it means a lot. Ghosts aren't as much score as you think, just because Grimoire means nothing to you, it doesn't mean that it's meaningless. Vertycal Community mentor for the Grandmasters of Grimoire.
