I'm talking about the streamers like Gothalion, or Man vs. Game who quit their 9 to 5 jobs in order to pursue a career on Twitch. Another person disagrees with me saying it was a full time job, and so I would like some other people's opinions.

8 RisposteYea but these people think its super hard. I mean I guess sitting down playing videogames is hard? These guys need sunlight and a life
-
I still don't understand how people enjoy watching others play games, but sure if they can live off it I guess it's a job. I admittedly seen team four star once or twice but that was mainly because I enjoy their dbza series. It plays there stream videos automatically after watching an episode
-
Well, technically speaking, if it is done for many hours per day and pays, then yes it would be considered a job
-
1 RispondiPointless once the internet goes down when skynet takes over. Well we know who to use as bait now.
-
If it pays, then yes
-
Gothalions an ass
-
Well people do it full time and gets paid so I guess it's a full time job. A no life one though.
-
If they're paid; yes.
-
It's absolutely a full time job and it's cool that people are able to make a living off of video games.
-
3 RisposteI serve piña coladas and other drinks on a small tiki bar settled close to the beach. I get a good part time pay and get to talk with clients about life and shit, when the clock hits 10:00 pm i have to see my boss do the hand signal and when he does it i rip out my shirt and reveal 5 c4 packs strapped into me and thats where i go and scream to everyone:
ALOHA SNACKBAR!
-
Yeah. It may not be traditional, and you may not like it, but they earn their paycheck. That makes it a job.
-
It would be harder to upload and edit videos on YouTube rather than streaming straight to twitch.
-
4 RisposteI feel like Twitch is for lazy people who want to get paid for playing games. Most successful YouTube channels post gameplay videos with a lot of editing, which is time-consuming. With Twitch, you just start streaming and hope that people want to watch you play games for hours.
-
People say streamers are fatasses who take people's money. You're thinking of cashiers.
-
Well, a lot of people follow the money and have unorthodox jobs. There are thousands of people out there that just make T-shirts for a living...
-
32 RisposteThe fact that people can make a steady income off of YouTube or Twitch is deeply disturbing. If I ask someone, "What do you do for a living?" and the answer is, "Play Call of Duty "professionally" on camera", then I'm punching them in the face.
-
If you get paid enough money to have a life then my thinking is yes it's a job. I don't know why people think otherwise.
-
A job is a job tbh, the people complaining are probably just mad they never decided to become a successful YouTube/twitch streamer.
-
If you do it 40+ hours a week and its your main source of income, then I'd say yes.
-
Modificato da Smash House Breck: 8/3/2015 12:04:35 AMIt's a lot of work to do twitch streams. It is a full time job, or it can be, depending on popularity. A lot of streamers that I watch have YouTube channels, and use the combination as their job.

-
If they make money then why not, I'd just rather sell drugs
-
If they make enough money to justify it, then good for them.
-
If they can make a living off of it then yeah
-
Yes. They will entertain people for 8+ hours almost every day. Whether or not the work is considered hard, or if some streamers deserve as much money as they get, is another matter.

Modificato da Green Twister: 8/2/2015 1:22:39 AMWell yes why wouldnt it? people who disagree probably don't know how it works.
