Xbone: from a PlayStation user
I just picked up an xbone for MCC. Here are some of my thoughts.
Why are there 2 Hdmi ports on the back? Shit had me thinking the port was broken for 2 minutes.
Why is the dashboard so God damn convoluted? More ads than actual content.
Started install of MCC at 8pm last night. Still not done fully downloading for multi-player, played arkham Knight on ps4 until then.
Played 1st mission in halo CE, instantly switching back and forth from remastered to Nostalgia goggle mode is quite cool.
Controller is better than ps4s by a good amount, only complaint is its marginally heavier.
Just some thoughts on xbone so far. Games are good, console design and dash are bad so far.
Edit: I understand that the 2 Hdmi ports are for TV, I was just surprised due to not being used to 2 ports on a console.

Why do I want to scroll my life away down a never ending shit storm of front page crap about games and the shit everyone else on my retarded friends list played or did? Spend more than a few hours on it, matter of fact unplug your dam PS4 and hit yourself between the legs, when you do it and you feel nothing you'll understand you need to go find your balls instead of fuqing an electronic queen named Playstation for too much of your life. I've owned Playstations longer than I have owned xboxes and I've had the first gem console of everyone and I still do. I'm not biased as fuq I just prefer the look and feel of the Xbox dashboard. Don't get me wrong I still play just as much on PS4 because I like this game and I'm still searching for a clan on PS4. Don't be a glamour queen, not like your the first water head kid to post Xbox verses Playstation topics, and unfortunately the rest of your family will do it as well in the future...smh

2 HDMI ports, one is for Cable. Dashboard and multitasking ability is amazing once you get used to it.

I find it much easier to navigate on my Xbox, but that's probably also because it is what I used first.

1 hdmi port is HDMI IN. u use it if u want to watch TV with an Xbox overlay. since i couldn't use the 4th hdmi port on my tv for the cable cause the stand blocks it, if I want to watch tv, I use the xbox. the dashboard sucks because it uses the same metro windows 8 is obsessed with (which sucks). good news is they are completely changing the UI soon. MCC is like over 80GB when factoring in everything on the disc and what u need to DL in updates. Xbone also for some reason tries to install from the net instead of from a disc unless you tell it not to, which makes game installations FAR slower than they should be.

The ui is the worst thing about the xbox one. It's way worse than the xbox 360 and believe it or not it was worse at launch. You couldn't even get to your settings at launch without a lot of pain. Compared to ps4 which is super simple.

2 RisposteThe UI is suppose to update soon so it'll actually make sense. I've had my X1 since Christmas and I still am finding new things through it all (like hot to view recent players)

That dashboard is a bit to much sometimes, I agree. I love the hard drive capabilities and love the kinect, makes somethings so easy like QR codes, so cool I think.

The dlc has nothing to do with the console, but obviously your internet connection

2 RisposteSeeing as halo is one of the biggest games on the Xbox with over 65 gigs that's why it took so long, but that's weird mine maybe took an hour.

Yeah halo takes a long time to download, also I agree the dashboard is a bit messy but you just need to get used to it is all

5 Risposte1. I'm a great fan of both ps4 and xbox (i love my xbox) 2. Xbox has a MUCH better controller for fps games. The thumbs tick distance blah blah 3. Xbox dashboard is absolute shit. Ps4 obviously better 4. Xbox party is shit. Don't know why they changed it from the previous one 5. Xbox friends list etc all function so slowly with so much lag. I don't know why Microsoft took a step backward. basically, xbox sucks apart from its skilled player Base, halo and it's nice controller HAHAHAHA

I'm with you with the Dash... I don't even bother with trying to find anything. Just pin what you need and use Kinect for anything else.

Dashboard is a matter of preference in my eyes. I don't have a PS4 but I don have a PS3 and an Xbox One. PS3's dashboard was straight to the point and clean cut. I like that. I probably prefer it more than the Xbox's dashboard buuuut, interesting things do pop up in the Ad sections lol. [spoiler]Xbox One fanboy[/spoiler]

11 RisposteThe Xbox 360 was so much simpler. It used to take 2 seconds to get to the party screen, now if you're unlucky and the party app isn't on your snap list you've got to go on a magical treasure hunt to find the party app. It's unnecessarily overcomplicated.
