Sony is buying Xbox, Effective Jan 2017
Title says it all, tentative deal struck, Sony will dominate the gaming world, might not be a good thing to have no competition...
Not trying to troll here... I just googled it and there are a few sources writing about it... It may be BS... It's the first I heard of it, so I figured I'd throw it out there for the community to check out.

1 RispondiThe funny thing is xbox made hundred of thousands of copies pf xbox's and next thing you know they LOST money because sony stepped up their game and got more copies sold. Now sony may have made a shit ton of cash off of PS4 and other gaming items, tv's, blu-ray players and etc. but microsoft also makes the software for majority of computers, mainly business and gaming. Now looking at the sum of their items sony and microsoft are in their highest ranks but microsoft lost a crap ton of cash from the release of xbox one. Sony on the other hand doubled their profits plus the cash for PS plus. All in all sony is stepping up their game and is close to Microsoft's levels but there is no chance Bill Gates would sogn a contract for sony to buy microsoft for under 200 billion. Ya microsoft is worth $200 billion.

This is doubtful at best. For those who are saying Sony is going under however, they are operating in the black again and generating a profit.

5 RisposteI don't think that that is possible. What I mean is that the transaction will not be allowed. There always has to be at least more than one company for one large product. For example, if coca cola bought Pepsi, then coke will have nearly every soda brand in it arsenal, as well as the pricing. If coke owns Pepsi then the company can literally increase the prices of the drings by a lot. So if you want coke, then you have to buy it for an unreasonable price. If coke increased prices while Pepsi was its own company, then everyone will resort to Pepsi because it is cheaper. But if coke jacks up the price while coke OWNS Pepsi, then the crowd will have no drink to resort to. This is called a monopoly. You can't have soda being sold by one company, or they have control over the prices. Going back to Sony and Microsoft. (playstation and Xbox is what we are probably talking about here). If the two largest consoles are owned by one company then they have control of the prices as well. The only thing that can change this is resorting to wii, or everyone switching to PC. I believe AT&T had something similar with this but don't take my word for it, it's what I heard from a friend. You won't be seeing one massive company buying another one, it would really disrupt the economy.
