Sony is buying Xbox, Effective Jan 2017
Title says it all, tentative deal struck, Sony will dominate the gaming world, might not be a good thing to have no competition...
Not trying to troll here... I just googled it and there are a few sources writing about it... It may be BS... It's the first I heard of it, so I figured I'd throw it out there for the community to check out.

Link to any article stating anything close to those being true maybe? This seems like complete garbage considering Xbox has spent the last year catching up to Sony in market share. Another thing is the rumor Microsoft was trying to buy AMD which is the company who makes the micro processing chips for both consoles effectively making Microsoft money on every Xbox AND Playstation sold. Why would they cut the market in half effectively ending the competition that drives the sales for both consoles. It's like you thought hmm what if Sony bought Xbox and decided to post it like it was fact.

16 RisposteI'll take the b8. There are many, many reasons why this is false, with 2 big reasons. 1st, while PS4 has outsold Xbone by a fairly wide margin, that's where Sony's success ends. The rest of the company is doing horribly. They simply do not have the finances to make a purchase as large as the Xbox brand. But for arguments sake, let's assume Sony did have the capital to entice Microsoft into selling the Xbox brand to Sony. That's where the second big problem comes in. If the 2 largest console brands were to merge, that would create a monopoly in the console gaming industry. Anyone who took 3rd grade history or economics knows there are strict laws that would prevent this.
