Hold on a second... This is the exotic item a lot of you are crying about?
As most of us know, if a brand new player buys the collectors edition they get an exotic class item. That existing players don't get.
Have any of you actually looked at what this exotic class item does? It gives you an XP boost...
[b][i]THIS[/i][/b] is what a lot of you people are complaining about?
Let me simplify it for you.
You have 3 characters at 34 for example. Dlc drops. You'll need to level up 1 subclass, and grind from level 20 to level 30. Oh the horror.
So for existing players. Between 3 characters you'll need to grind 30 levels, and 3 subclasses.
Now let's look at a brand new player, on 1 character they will need to do 30 levels and 3 subclasses. On 3 characters. They will need to do 90 levels and 9 subclasses.
[b][i]OF COURSE[/i][/b] they are going to need an XP booster.
When the new rash of players come in are you going to wait to play with people who have their shít levelled up, or someone who is straggling behind? Seriously think about it.
Now let's look at it from another side.
A lot of players complained that it was too easy to level up when they first played. So now your complaining because it isn't even quicker for you?
We all have a fück ton of weapons, so the only ones we need to level are the new ones. Where as brand new players have to do old weapons, and new ones...
Is there seriously only a few of us on these forums that is looking at this situation and thinking "yea... That makes sense actually"
Bearing in mind we will get VIP rewards, superbkack shader+emblem+ a sparrow for being "veterans" of Destiny.
But no... You all want to cry over a class item that will be useless after 3-4 hours if we used it.
[b][i]EDIT:[/i][/b] added a picture of the VIP rewards so you can see the shader, I should point out, I called it superblack, I don't know if that's it's actual name, but it's an all-black shader, so I'm just assuming here.

Looks like I'm spending $120 to get all the goods. I'm fine with that I just want to make sure I get everything that I pay for. So i guess I'll get the pre order and then buy the new hard copy.

4 RisposteIt seems everyone keeps saying new players will need it for grinding XP. Last I checked, exotic gear can't be used until level 20... The class item is almost worthless to everyone including new players. Maybe it'll looks really cool? Lol

Everyone wants the exotic class item because... It -blam!-ING EXOTIC!!! This thread is absolutely pointless and it only resolved your opinion. Did you really think people wanted the class item only for the XP boost? No way in hell you could assume that.

1) grinding is grinding. Any form of xp boost is nice. 2) it's not just class items. They get 3 unique shaders and emotes as well. And literally everyone wants more emotes. 3). Even if the class item xp isn't as useful they still look freaking cool. It makes no sense that day 1 players are getting less out of the money we spent compared to someone who pops up randomly.

What game still costs $60 a year later?? What dlc costs the same after a year?? My tv cost $1900 years ago.....it sells for 350 now......am I mad? No......... Bungie has got try and sell more units. It's a business. They're trying to attract new customers which in turn benefits us by growing the community and ensuring the games longevity. The price issue shouldn't be an argument, you got months to save. That said, the one thing I will say is -blam!-ed up is if Bungie gives new players exclusive shit that we won't have access to. Thanks for explaining that about the emblem, I hadn't looked at it that way. Don't care about the emblem in that case......

Taken King is $40, Dark Below is $20 and House of Wolves is $20 so that's $80 in just Dlc, the game is $60, so $140 is what we since day 1 have to pay, but if you buy this new Destiny game, not only do you get a great deal, because you save 40% , but you also get exclusive Exotic Class Items (3 exotic class items) that give you extra XP for doing things, 3, not 1, but 3 shaders, and 3 class emotes, whatever that means, but we that have to pay for everything separate, we that have been with #Bungie and #Destinythegame Since day 1, get screwed over this bad? And by that I mean, that all we get is one stupid shader that probably is gonna look horrible, since y'all didn't even bother with the House of Wolves Expansion shaders, one sparrow that is really nothing special at all, its just for show like the ships, and one emblem that already looks bad, and that doesn't give you any boost or anything, just for show. How's this fair at all? And all this is for the digital copies, the hard copy? Even cheaper, at $59.99, and it still comes with all the dlc, but it doesn't come with the extra swag, still, how's this even fair?"

Modificato da cellar dweller: 6/18/2015 12:52:03 PMim just glad for the xp boost because i deleted my hunter last month and my titan 2 weeks ago to make 3 warlocks because i like them the best and got the grimoire for the other classes because i had one of each for so long. but if the new sub-classes or content adds things for specific classes to aquire grimoire it will make deleting one warlock to quickly do the necessary tasks and level another hunter and titan for grimoire way faster and then the warlock again when the others are deleted. if you pay extra for the collectors edition you should definitely get a bunch of stuff people who pay less aren't getting.

Not gonna lie, i want the strange coin and all the other stuff that comes with it, and i know it doesnt do much for an exotic, but its an exotic class item, which none of us will have and it will look good, the exotic emblem does nothing but people are still going crazy about it, if they was to give us an exotic class item that does nothing and only give the xp boost to new players then no one would care, also the emotes, i want new emotes

Your post is fine and I agree, BUT bungie should have made an upgrade option (like for 50.00 or 60.00) to be able to get the extra stuff in the collectors edition for gamers with all the destiny content already. Had they done that there would be far less complaining. All most people want are decent choices and having to rebuy content to get the extras you want is a jacked up choice. Personally I don't care but several buddies of mine are kinda pissed and I understand why. They play destiny 75% of the time (some have over 2000 hours in this game!) so with that kind of dedication I understand their pain.
