Did Deej really just imply that we shouldn't collect weapons??!!
So i'm casually watching some Taken King footage on the link provided and at around the 10min 45sec bit of the video, in my opinion Deej implies that it's our fault we have lack of vault space from "collecting" things. He goes on to basically say that "we tend to use 3-5 weapons" and that we have to make "tough decisions" to better understand the game. He can't be serious right?? He's got to be taking the piss. I can think of at least 8 weapons i use on regular basis.

I can understand your point and his as well. I only keep mostly weapons with burns, and exotics. There are certain things that I don't use that I shouldn't let keep up space just to sit there. I'll probably never use certain primary weapons and I have enough weapons to spread to all my characters. Then, from a freedom point of view, if someone wants to collect, then let them. There are certain games where you can only have a certain capacity that you can hold on to. So I'm kind of use to it now.

It's not like legendaries and exotics are hard to get. Just delete that shit.

Let's see 3 shotguns different burn same with snipers,rockets hmg . that's 12 maybe more some work batter then others so let's say 20 So with out even talking about primary's or exotics then you have raid weapons since they work best in those. On top of that you have PVp guns that works best for that. So 50 plus guns then you have guns that you get and hold onto to see if you like it. So yes we need more space.

2 RisposteI have regular weapon clear outs now and dismantle as much as I dare but I always think "What if a new weapon balance comes and this weapon comes good" I don't even use fusion rifles but have loads kicking around :/

1 RispondiDattodoesdestiny just recently made a video about this sort of thing. He says that part of what makes things boring for people is the fact that they stick to the same guns (fatebringer, voc, felwinters) which leads to new content being seen as worse with the power of ascension. You don't actively use lord of wolves more than for the fact that it's cool. Deej said we'd eventually have to leave behind the old stuff, which is good because it makes the new stuff actually relevant

It's BS, Bungie doesn't want to pay for more server space so they try to make shit excuses for why they shouldn't spend anymore money all the while trying to fleece us, if they don't add vault space I will not buy anymore expansions, period.

3 RisposteThey said stuff like that a year before this game came out. He said we would have to make tough decisions on our gear because our vault wasn't going to be endless, that's not a direct quote. Kind of why I never got on the vault space bandwagon, they warned us about that 2yrs ago. There's about 8 weapons I use and all the exotics, the rest do just take up space. Its in one of the earlier IGN interviews with Deej.

Yeh theres no loss for bungie to give us more vault space if anything its a win win for them.

I dismantle armor and weapons I ain't gonna use.. Even if they're rare or exotics. I got a handcannon, auto riffile, scout riffle as primary ( 2 of each tho ) Specials: 3 sniper with each elemental damage. 3 fusion riffle with each elemental damage something more. 2 machine guns - diff. damage/stats 2 rocket launchers - diff damage/stats. other than that, no need for much else really?

He's mostly right about weapons. Just need to collect the exotics and one of each weapon type per character. It's the shaders, marks, and emblems that need space.

So, in one case, he's right. I can run most of the activities that I care about with three primaries, at most six secondaries, and three to six heavies, which is, technically, enough. However, following this, I should shard about 90% of the exotics that I have because I don't like them and never use them. What happens if balances come that change the way the game is played? Then I may want that Unwilling Soul that I have that has crowd control and perfect balance. I like collecting weapons. I've been out of space for most things since shortly after HoW launched, and it irritates me that, if you collect every raid weapon, PoE weapon, trials weapon, IB weapon, and exotic, you essentially have no inventory room. Unfortunately, I'm just going to have to live with it.

I don't think we need to collect ALL weapons but certainly we should not be in a position where we have to destroy raid or exotic gear.
