I will be 45 in a couple of months.
I have gotten so old that I make friends with kids and people talk to them about the dangers of spending time with older people.
Then my kid friends say I scare them when I join there games.
So I delete them.
I have also comes across more then a few kids who say your a old man what are you doing playing games?.
This type of treatment really makes me think twice.
Should I act my age and do what old people do what ever that is.
I have been playing games before consoles was invented.
I still love my games with a passion.
The people who I play with are offended when they get to know me how old I am and that makes me sad.
So should I hang up my gaming boots?
Edit:
I just joined Scaret Eagle Clan its a older persons Group for Xbox One.
I guess this forum post is no longer needed.
Bye

I'm 42 and I've played games since I was about 12, why change now. My 18 year old daughter and teenager nephews play games, and my 30 and 40 something brothers and Family play to keep in touch. I'll play until my fingers and thumbs don't work.

22 here. Feel free to add me on the 360 @ GT: MadRussian387 Anybody is also welcome into my clan, "Clashtronauts"

Old people(and everyone else) shouldn't be spending time on games that require grinding and stressful games. You're better off playing games with fun and amazing stories, and games with fun co op.

7 RisposteI am 45 as well. Just do bounties and strikes without a mic. It is so frustrating doing a raid with kids who just want to hear themselves talk. Would love to do VoG, Crota's End and now ToO but don't need the headaches. I'll eventually have to find some players for Prison's higher levels though...

I'm over 50 and still enjoy gaming after all these decades... I have found that the following works well for me: 1- Be the fireteam leader 2- Keep the conversations related to the game ONLY 3- Promote an environment of courtesy and respect, regardless of age(s) 4- If number 3 can't be obtained, mute or boot. I've come across skilled, articulate kids and absolute oxygen thieves mascarading as adults...accepting random game invites = RNG.

Welcome to the club! Pushing 46 here. Yes we have every right to play this or any other game. I for one make it a point to play with people ranging from old enough to drink to old enough to collect social security. I find that age range much more laid back and easier to play with, exceptions accepted.

Age doesn't matter! Your hobby is your hobby, and one should never be judged for what they enjoy spending their time in.

I'm 46, Married, father of 2 and still play Look up Ancient Warriors on enjin..

4 RisposteDude what the hell? Y'all are so old! I'm scrolling down seeing "I'm 40+, 50+, 60+." I'm only 17!

elitism works for me. my friends list is only a page and a half long but it's still "a diverse array of mark ass marks, trick ass marks, punk bitches, skip skap skanks and scallywags, ho's, hefers, heehaws, and hoolihoos."

I'm 30 and I say as long as you ain't doing SUBWAY commercials you should be ok.

Wasn't aware that you had to stop playing video games at a certain age. No different than any other hobby you can pick up. Keep goin strong my man, im 30 and i know i will be playing games until i die. Gaming is a hobby of mine and i dont care what others think about it.

Modificato da technoguy1754312: 7/8/2015 6:21:30 PMHonest truth as long as your having fun feeling young then just old. Then it not that bad. Don't always think a kid word can just bring yea down I usually tell them. Hey I may be older but you'll be my age soon. And my last word to them is it best you just have your head up and know that word don't mean a damn unless a reason. Have fun live a little cheer man tosses beer.

3 RisposteI am 40 and I will never stop gaming. My 13 year old son's friends jump on and play with me. I have also trained my son how to act when he is playing so that no one will call him a squeaker. I can not tolerate squeakers.
-
I'm 37, I've been playing one system or another since Atari. The only time I took an extended break was when I had two kids in diapers. Now I have four kids who are all info one game or another, being careful to strike a balance with outdoor fun. Until it becomes a distraction from everyday life, why stop? Game on.

I'm 48, day one player and still play everyday! Just enjoy the game guardian. ;)
-
I'm 37 and play everyday, never had anyone with a problem with my age and even if I did receive any abuse about it they can go f**k themselves. Been playing video games since the days of the Spectrum ZX 48k and I love the fact that my generation has experienced the dawn of gaming and watched it develop & evolve of the last few decades. The ageist squeakers can never take that away from you and its something they will never have regardless of their badass KD ratio.

Modificato da xilxad: 7/8/2015 6:03:42 PMJesus man! Stop worrying about it. I'm 45 and I play with people all ages. I regularly beat skolas with a 37 and a 16 year old that I'm mature enough to call friends. If you stop doing the things you enjoy you'll die unhappy. I know what you are saying though, and I don't normally play with little kids, I have helped a few occasionally. Sadly there are nasty people in the world that cast suspicion on us all, and parents need to be aware of what their children are open too with online gaming.

1 RispondiIm 24, id rather game with a mature adult than some 16 year old squeaker that screams profanity into his mic until his mommy comes in and yells at him.
