The Witcher 3 has more story in one side quest than the entirety of Destiny

3 RisposteWhen I was younger I would love games with a rich story/engaging characters. These days, if I want story I just watch a decent TV series. I find the Gunplay/overall gameplay in Destiny to be what draws me back. I don't care that much for the story aspect. It's just fun to shoot things with friends.

2 RisposteWe've only seen 3 chapters in the story of destiny. just because you need pictures and cutscenes to understand a story, doesn't mean destiny doesn't have one. If you'd actually pay attention, and possibly read a little, you'd understand how wrong you are.

All I have to say is I feel robbed, I want to be captivated by the story, thats the point of buying a game to have fun and enjoy a good story. I love Destiny I play it everyday but I don't feel connected to non of the characters except my own. Bungie did awesome but they could do better.

Lets compare this games "story" to this other game, that has 2 prequels to it that have enriched the story, plotline, and depth of the games universe. And compare it to Destiny, a game made from scratch. It may not be complete, it may not be even close to what we were overhyped for. But god damn it its fun and I love playing it. All we get from threads like this, is that you wanted to compare a baby game in the industry, to a game thats had 2 games prior to it, to build its lore and story upon. By all means I am not saying the witcher games are bad, I love playing them. But the comparison here isn't relevant. Love both games, play them both. But please keep this crapfest thread out of here. We had enough of these at launch. Thank you, have a nice day. Edit: while your at it, move this crap post to #gaming where it belongs.

Vanilla destiny was just their way of establishing characters (the queen of the awoken and her fallen companions and the exo stranger and speaker and the traveler and the darkness and oryx and factions and vanguard) and all the alien races and their intentions. They still have ten years of destiny and will tell many many stories

While im sure its great game ... i wont play it anytime soon. Story isn't everything bro, not for me anyway. Im not into larping or making costumes for blizzcon .. so trying to get into character doesn't matter to me

The entire time I've played witcher 3 so far I can't get out of my head. It's just not red dead 2, I know it's not meant to be anything like it but I just can't seem to get any satisfaction out of it.

Even more sad is a Minecraft server that uses plug ins to change the entire game into an MMORPG has more content and better story than Destiny. You don't even have to DOWNLOAD or buy ANYTHING to play a massive experience.
