Some people say FarmVille is the best game they ever played. So?

1 RispondiOne thing I have noticed for me is that with all these high end graphic games coming out, there is barely any room left for the imagination to take over. I think this is one reason why I love all my old games like FF7, Legend of Dragoons, Final fantasy tatics advance, old runescape, etc. Due to the fact that it required quite a bit of imagination to make up the graphics, which actually made me enjoy it more. Dont get me wrong, there are some fantastic games coming out, but this is just something I have noticed.

It's one of the few games that I've enjoyed putting so many hours in to so I would say it's my "favorite in a long time" in the sense that I continually have fun and enjoy it. By no means is it my fav game of all time tho.. That slots is reserved for many others.. Zelda A Link to The Past, Goldeneye, Metal Gear Solid... So many great games from those days (I'm in my mid-30s btw). I would include Battlefield BC 2 in there above Destiny just for its multiplayer. That was fantastic. Maybe in 10 years I'll look back differently, as I do to those others. Link to the Past still has great replay even after all these years. Soooo much fun. Goldeneye... Not so much, but oh, the memories... But who knows. I can't imagine myself breaking out Destiny in its current form in 10 years and farming for glimmer lol. In a way tho I guess that comes back to how it will evolve over the next few years. Since my "favorite" games will always remain the same, Destiny does have a unique opportunity because it has a chance to constantly evolve. Again, who knows!

There is always something to do. It easily keeps me occupied.

3 RisposteThere is stuff to daily(bounties, story mission) and weekly...along with leveling up gear and weapons...no other game(besides any PC MMO) can offer that
-
3 RispostePeople say it's the hours played, but I put twice the hours in a third of the time when I was playing payday 2. It's the same type of game. Doing the same 6 levels over and over because the loot system was eng based. Games like this are only "worth" the hours played because you keep playing in the hopes of getting "that" item.

3 RisposteIn my 56 years of playing all sorts of games I'd have to say the "best" for me is/was Chromehounds for the Xbox360 (2006-2010). It was a magnificent 5 year run that ended due to the 2 software companies fighting with each other over rights, so, the end result was pulling the cord on the servers in 2010.

Most of the people who say that must not be very avid gamers. I am old school and i dont even consider Destiny close to being on my list of best games ever. I am guessing people who say it is have never played Bioshock or Fallout 3 or Resident Evil 1-3. Its lack of story and necessity for repetitive grinding take alot away from its entertainment value. I like it but it for sure doesnt even come close to best game ever.

9 RisposteModificato da B Zee: 5/12/2015 5:05:17 AMDestiny players fall into three categories: Those who do well and love the game Those who do poor and hate the game Those who are striving to get good. My experience has been that people either love this game or hate it.

1 Rispondinah pokemon blue is the best game
-
Personal preference
-
Halo is better but my friends are on ps4.
-
Borderlands was the best game i ever played
-
I love the gameplay, the actual world of Destiny and the visual style. I love the lore and want to know more, I love the variety of weapons, I love the different classes and subclasses and how they enable variety. This games only issues for me are the boring story, the reward system which can be harsh at times, and the reliance on players to form their own teams in order to get involved in the best content (lack of matchmaking).
-
Destiny has given me feels I have not had since I was a 4 year old playing Stuff like Spyro the dragon and crashing bandicoot.
-
The soundtrack was great. They butchered the story, but the gunplay was excellent. Running the raids for the first time are up there as some of the most fun I've personally had in a multilayer game in a long time.
-
Addicting, yes. best, no. As i don't usually play RPGs, i am new to the genre. But the campaign, (even mentioned in DeeJ "welcome to the forum" post, t m has like 5/100 for story. The re-playability is where the game is focused. If i want a good story (shooter) , i'll go play all three of the MW games back to back.
-
Look at the hours people have put into the game
-
I cannot explain. All I can do is scratch my head and wonder what these folks have been playing up to now.

Because we're still playing it 8 months down the line.

1 RispondiI would not say it's the best, but definitely one of the most addictive, and with a ton of potential. I played a lot of pokemon when I was younger, still do sometimes, and this game gets me the same way pokemon did. I was always a collector, trying to get the best pokemon with the best stats, and the same goes for this game's weapons and armor. I think of them the same way as I did my pokemon, taking all my armor and weapons trying to see how I can make each item compliment the others. Pretty much, it's not the game, but the guns and experimentation I can do with it that keeps me hooked.

Well you see there is this thing called preference. Everyone has their own personal opinion. The gameplay is what makes it great.
-
It's good I guess. But the best one? PFFT Please...
-
I personally love the game because of it's mmo style being a shooter it's a new style of a game and they've done it well

Modificato da MULLERTJE: 5/12/2015 12:41:18 PMBecause people have different opinions. If you bought a system 5 years ago and haven't touched that many games, sure. If you played al lot of systems the last 20 years with lots of games and numerous gaming hours you probably have 10 or more titles that were better or more fun. It's all personal.
