So I helped somebody yesterday :O
Felt bored and let me just start out by saying...I am not normally a nice person to Noobs. Because of my own experience with all the halos and all the hate messages putting me down, telling me I was bad, I wanted to get better! And I did! I can now 1v1 almost anybody and wreck them! In any of the halos. I suck at CoD lol.
That being said yesterday I felt like helping people for a change. I went into a crucible match, found a level 27, and asked him if he has completed this weeks nightfall. He said no. So I proceeded to take him through it flawlessly. He got ascendant shards -_- anyways i then found out he had the dlc and remembered I had a crota checkpoint. I went and soloed crota(took me two tries but whatev) and he was delighted when he got a new legendary machine gun, song of ir yut.
Well after that my buddy jumped in and we took him back up to crota from the start. He got enough raid gear to get him to 28...felt good helping somebody...

Amen brotha. i use to host gorgon chest and use to help first timers on either raid.. i stopped doing community service though. but it was nice seeing people get their exotics and their new gear and weapons.

Great to hear at least some people in this community are also helping, I regularly do 15 crota cp's just for funsies (and to help out a buncha randoms who are like me- friends dont really play destiny all that much and i need to have trust in a buncha randoms to use teamwork) I always try to run sword if i can since swordbearers can be rare on lfg at times, but hey- i do anything from sb, distracting boomers to even just regularly shooting crota with a ghorn
