Keep everything about Thorn the same... Just remove Send It and give it speed reload or QuickDraw.

The person who listed the TTK of Thorn wrote it in a way that could be considered misleading. In practice, the TTK is probably slower than The Last Word; the method the guy used considers the "point of no return" wherein the opponent has taken two headshots and has no (reliable) methods of survival (Red Death/Suros REGIME/Hungering Blade/etc. heal you and could allow you to survive, in theory). I'd have a better chance of tying with a Thorn user than I would a TLW user. The fact of the matter is that, despite the undeniable power of the DoT effect, you can't just fire two shots into the head and wait. If you do that, your opponent will probably kill you before the MotD takes them to their grave (unless you can hide behind something; an unreliable factor). In most practical situations, Thorn users will simply forego waiting for the DoT to take its course and instead fire a third shot, which nullifies what makes the Thorn so hated in the first place.

You crucible guys seem to have zero ability to see beyond your repetitive maps. Thorn is already a sub-par choice for pve activities. Before being nerfed to it's present state I could use it on strikes and in raids, but now it's just not worth the exotic slot if I'm doing end-game content. Even as it is, a simple expansion back to a 13 round mag would work. But slow reload time and nine in the hole make it a gun you use for fun, not efficacy outside the crucible. I love thorn, and use it plenty, but not at times when an exotic should be exotic. By that I mean better than the legendary guns. I really wish Bungie would separate gear to PvP and pve, so weapon balancing for PvP guys wouldn't screw up weapons for the rest of us.

You don't seek balance you want the crucible to be easier for yourself. That is selfish in every way. Is Thorn balanced? Compared to what? Red death? Yes. Compared to SUROS regime? Heck no. Two precision hits with Thorn are going to kill you in about 4 seconds. (That's an estimate because I don't get killed by thorn often because unlike nerf happy wankers, I have -blam!-ing skill and the sense enough to formulate a counter plan against Thorn.) I don't know why we [i]have[/i] to nerf this gun. When The Last Word, Hawkmoon, Red Death, Three little words, or a [b][i][u]skilled player[/u][/i][/b] are all perfect counters to Thorn. Hell I even had success against Thorn with Vex Mythoclast. And have you even, for one second, considered that it's not the gun, but your own skill, that's the problem. It doesn't seem like you have. It seems like you blame the bloody gun and then ask for a bloody nerf and a month from now, Thorn will be the new SUROS. It [i]was[/i] a pretty good weapon but players like the OP can't step their game up enough to deal with a good weapon. I'm not even a "good" player I just have the sense and competence to deal with a Thorn user. I'm not going to lie, it's a good -blam!-ing weapon. It is. Two precision shots are going to kill you. 3 or 4 to the body will kill you too. So what do you do? You stay behind -blam!-ing cover You stick with your teammates You know where the hell the thorn user is You watch your flank And run away if need be That's it. I use Thorn almost exclusively and 70% of my PvP kills are with it. It is indeed OP and I love it.

3 months ago everyone was asking for a buff for thorn and they got exactly what they asked for. Faster reload and a larger mag, that's all it got. Thorn has always been this good, it didn't need a nerf back then and it doesn't need one now.

Your right it does make a bunch of kills very quickly and ya it is op but its fire rate is low enough as is and of course its op do you not remember the 500 void kill thing come on it should so be op.

I agree. Just shoot twice and get a kill. The dot should vary in length. If you are lucky it will do as much time as it does know but randomly sometimes it will be 1 sec or 4 seconds
