"Drop the last gen" STOP IT.
What the heck is this? Some of next gen players complaining that last gen holds destiny? Yes it might be but some things what you say are stupid. "Its only 30fps" "your the reason it isnt 60fps" Does it matter? 30fps is enjoyable too. "They should drop old-gen" Hey we have spent money too on this game. We have bought the dlc's too and payed for the console and the game. And really some of us dont have money to buy next gen. Some of us arent at work at this moment. The money doesnt come to our hand just like that. So just even try to enjoy Destiny. Its a great game.[spoiler]Im a last gen player ;)[/spoiler] Edit:Some people understood this wrong. Im just saying this that they would not drop old gen from destiny. Im totally okay that destiny 2 is gonna be current gen only. And stop these stupid comments saying "shoot yourself" and everything xD

Last gen technology has held destiny back and I do wish destiny was released for current gen only. But I'm not calling for last gen to be dropped, they made their choice to release for both gens so they should stick with it. I'm looking forward to see what bungie can do when they concentrate on current gen only.

1 RispondiThere is a contract that requires them to support last gen throughout the remainder of destiny 1... Now as for destiny 2, I don't think last gen will be supported (I'm last gen).

Drop old gen. for future dlc. It actually does hold back certain feature whether you would like to admit it or not.

2 RisposteI'm perfectly fine with Destiny 2 coming out on current gen only but not with the 'Comet should be current gen only'. I've said it before ; Some households have multiple gamers with a job but also have to deal with the usual payments. So they just can't afford 2 consoles + 2 copies of the game yet. Keep it like it is for now and move on when Destiny 2 gets released.

I feel like Destiny had to come out on last gen this time. All I gotta say is get yourself a PS4 or Xbone before Destiny 2. I doubt you'll be as lucky.

Having taken the plunge and upgraded from ps3 to ps4 I see a real difference but have to ask what benefit would destiny had truly had for being ps4 and Xbox one only? 60 FPS? Doubtful there has been plenty of next gen games capped at 30 FPS, e.g gta v, shadow of mordor. If it could've been 60 it would be. That e3 demo? Again doubtful the game changed for more reasons - change in team, scaffolding for dlc etc. Possibly more interactive style areas e.g wildlife but do what? How would that change the core experience?

I didn't pay the money for next gen so that I can play old gen capabilities... I bought it for the better performance/experience and what you are saying is completely selfish. I bet you're a millennial who thinks they they should get everything and free for that matter just handed to you...

They can't drop last gen since it has already been released and bought by so many people, but last gen is most definitely holding the game back. 100% hoping Destiny 2 is next gen only, and perhaps PC as well.

But my copy is for a newer generation and has some bells and whistles that your hardware couldn't support. How would you feel? That being said, with this last update we have solid proof that pat gen held back current gen destiny. Where's last gens vault compare feature? Oh it got taken away for more vault space? So a feature on last gen that wouldn't work because of hardware constraints was left off of current gen so others wouldn't feel cheated out of paying the same hard earned money for the game. I wish Bungie hadn't bothered with last gen consoles. They kinda hold things back. I believe the game could've been a lot smoother had they not released it for a previous generation. But then again, I'm also glad that last gen players get to experience Destiny.

I fully support the idea of having all the content on Destiny be on last gen but Destiny 2 won't be on last gen, hopefully last gen players with have a current generation console by then

Maybe people should just read this and the whole bullshit about next gen and old gen will stop! http://documents.latimes.com/bungie-activision-contract/ Basically Activision can do what ever they want with this -blam!-ing game. What consoles it's made for and everything else that goes with the game. I have no clue as to why Bungie would even get into a contract like this but, Destiny will be released for old and next gen consoles beyond that point there is no other reference as to what consoles future destiny games will be on. Let's face it if they want they can keep it all the same but, change up planets, enimies, re-skin weapons, vehicles and armor and a few tweeks here and there and bam destiny 2,3,4 and so on. Get over it already Destiny 2 will be for all consoles anything past that is not console specific. I've shown the facts, read it, like it or not, and unless they come out with something else that's not in the black and white print I have supplied, get over it!
