1 RispondiWhat's lag switching?

Modificato da Manchu4249: 3/6/2015 2:19:28 PMAll right, def ran into a lag switcher last night and can now see what everyone was talking about when they told me i would know when i saw one. There was a guy running a titan in the crucible last night that was all but invincible. He was blinking through doors and walls, not taking any damage at all. I hit him square in the face with two rockets and he still shoulder charged me and killed me and ran off like he was just out for a stroll in the park. This is what did for me me though. I knocked him completely off the map, there was no way he was going to recover from it, but he did. He fell and then he teleported about 10 feet in the air but he fell off the map again and then he blinked on the ledge then down off the map and then blinked right in front of me, shot gunned me in the face and then walked off. I had never seen anything like it before. Multiple times he would be seen standing in place running against a wall and as soon as someone would run up on him he would blink behind them and shot gun them. Total bs. People like that suck.

26 RisposteHow can you tell if someone is lag switching and its not their internet or bungies servers acting up? Serious question. I see this topic all the time but no one ever says how they know for sure that someone is lag switching or how to tell if someone is. I have no idea how to do this.
-
Lag switching is a federal crime in the US.
-
Nope. I'm recording all of them I see and gonna make a big video for YouTube. It's funny when they start lagging and they still get beat down to poodle dookie. Bungie should remove people from lobbies with bad connection
-
32 RisposteFirst off, you can't tell if someone's moding or legitimently suffering from lag. Second off, what can they do? Nothing! Using a lag switch is untraceable and unprovable. The best thing to do is shut up and find a new lobby. Sorry for the harsh words, I've already ranted about this once this week. Do a quick forum search next time eh?
-
I don't know. But I think Bungie should start the witch hunt with "Acceptance". We know you lag switch. We eagerly await the banhammer.
-
Modificato da Jeff the Cabal: 3/4/2015 7:01:14 PMBut you can't tell the difference from who's really lagging from who is using one... Then all the innocent people who do get a bad connection will be punished for doing nothing... Think how bad would that be..

1 RispondiI just recorded this guy a few minutes ago. Took 2 hits from my arc blade plus stuck with a flux grenade and took ZERO damage. http://youtu.be/6lUjD9W8PXs

27 RisposteIts fun to use.. ;)
-
3 RisposteIf u block and report them in game, does the next match remove them or u from the lobby
-
They did little about it in halo. Why start now lol
-
Normally its just lag issues, sometimes its blatantly sneid motives.
-
Everyone here defending the use of a lag switch is guaranteed to be using one
-
5 RisposteI don't think Bungie really cares, I lol when I think about all that 10 year vision hype they promoted for this game. Rainbow Six looks promising.
-
My guess would be no. They only fix things that they deem broken in their raids (no cheese), and nerf our weapons because someone in PVP asked for it.
-
2 RisposteCan someone explain to me, what exactly a lag switch is?
-
Modificato da Spawn_osk: 3/4/2015 3:46:44 PMMet a few on Saturday when i was doing my Thorn bounty...they seem to be immune to damage or atleast take only ~30% damage. Meleed one of them a dozen times as he stood still for me whilst taking my zone and did nothing to him. Their fire team seemed to have 2 or 3 immune players so i guess they were buddies rolling together....so sad!!! All connections were GREEN...first thing i checked.
-
Last night playing crucible, i got awarded a melee kill 2-3 minutes after i melee'd the last enemy i'd encountered.
-
4 RisposteMy understanding is that you can be banned for calling people out by name on here. Just FYI.

4 RisposteModificato da Fromage of Havoc: 3/4/2015 2:28:50 PMI know I'm going to get hate comments for this, but if someone has a poor connection in Crucible at any point in the game for more than 3 minutes, they should be bounced into orbit with a Donkey error until Bungie comes up with a solid solution to the constant lag issue. That would actually bounce me occasionally, but I've been noticing an increasingly extreme and consistent amount of lag, especially for IB 3 and up, and ironically from people with SN's like CoDMVP (numbers and dashes omitted to avoid BL) and the sort. I understand people lagging, but when 5 shots to the head with any sort of weapon, including a shotty, and about the same amount of stabs do not kill someone, and you see them rise from the dead when it does look like they finally died just to die to them too...is a bit ridiculous. Last I checked, Titans didn't have a blink, but some seem to teleport everywhere. Did free-dialup internet become a thing again and I didn't get the memo, or what? PS: I thought BlackListing names was against the rules?

1 Rispondiin pve i havent seen it bother anyone im guessing people are doing this in PVP? if so i cant tell who is or isnt cuz alot of the games are laggy anyway
