Some video games have great endings that really bring closure to a story. But, sometimes, some things go horribly wrong and next thing u know the Internet is gonna create a shitstorm about it. It's like a game is building up to a huge, epic showdown with the final boss, and next thing you know, u win the fight through a quick-time event! Disgraceful, simply disgraceful. So here's the question. In your opinion, what's the absolute worst way to end a video game's final level?
Leave an example of one of the worst final levels in your opinion here too.

As I'm reading these, I wonder.. Why do people think Destiny is considered "over"? I bet it's not even close to finished with its story line. Sure, it's got more back story than loot drops on a Vanguard Streak, but still. I'm just sayin, I don't think they've ceased yet.

The Saboteur. what the actual fuk kinda last boss was that

The ending to park our fever in dying light. Bozak is such a let down.
-
2 RisposteHalo 4's last boss fight. Like really a button sequence.
-
Dying Light goes up there.
-
Fable 2 To beat the final boss all you have to do is press a button
-
Dragonball xenoverse. It's a good game but the final mission in the campaign felt way to easy for me
-
2 RisposteAC 3s ending was terrible and turned me off the franchise. Spend the whole game knowing you're going to have to kill this one guy at the end and you don't even get to play it. The whole thing was cinematic.

I think it's no surprise... Mass Effect 3

Bioshock

1 RispondiReach. Not the Lone Wolf mission (that was cool), but the last full blown mission of the game. It was stupid hard on Legendary solo and I honestly still thought I had another half of the game left. When it was over I was like, that was it!? That was like half a game! Huge step back from Halo 3's campaign.

2 RisposteThe ending of dying light was super shitty imo.

18 RispostePersonally I think halo reach'a ending was stale. Hero/heroine sacrifices him/herself for the greater good, it seems overused for me

3 RisposteI'm probably going to be crucified for this, but I'm going to say MGS2 has one of the worst. You discover that everyone the whole time had been manipulated as part of an experiment by the patriots, you discover that solidus' intention is good even if his methods are questionable, and you discover that there's absolutely no need to go on fighting this man. Why not join forces against the patriots? Oop, never mind, kill him because there's a baby involved that will be killed if you die (figure that one out) and because i dunno lol. The rest of the ending was executed so well, but that particular aspect was just fumbled hard.

I thought the last of us ending was far too much of a cliff hanger
-
Fable 3. Oh wait, that was the whole game.

2 RisposteModificato da DjNormal: 4/1/2015 8:43:45 PMA missed attempt at being profound. Who did it well, Legacy Of Kain: Defiance. Who did it poorly, Mass Effect 3. Games that leave me hanging with an attempt at making me think often fall flat at the end. It would be awesome if they pulled it off, but most of the time we get a "What's in the box?" ending with a sad Brad Pitt and a large amount of disappointment. Edit: apparently I've already commented on this. Oops.

I'll make a small rule to this. No bad endings from bad games. They really are not that bad because the game already has a low standard to begin with. So destiny barely missed it for me. Plus the ending was okay when considering how the game is over all. Batman arkham asylum is a great game with a bad ending.

All of New Vegas ending. Not the battle that was great but just the very end

2 RisposteI'm ready for the hate I'm gonna get but: Fallout 1/2/3/NV
