2 RisposteFor me, 1 reason only, master chief was able to kill pretty much all of the covenant on his own, we need at least 2/3 for vog... Lol
-
6 RispostePlay halo 2. And 3. And reach. And maybe one. On legendary. And then make your vote again you vex supporters.
-
18 RisposteWell, covenant have ships that can glass, vex have nothing. The covenant can just glass every planet the vex are on. Boom, war won
-
Legendary elite with energy sword would solo Crota on hard....
-
8 RisposteThe covenant is not just grunts or elites, but a lot of different aliens.. The reason I picked vex was because the vex, unlike the covenant, are timeless, and in being so are all but immortal. I see the argument. They could glass the planet and kill them all. Right now. They'd still have to go back into the past and kill them and the future and by the time they put a dent in... The covenant would be too thinned out. One Goblin against one Elite would end up in the Elite winning yes. Hell, maybe a "archon priest style" firefight might still end in the covenant winning. But they're organic. They age, they bleed, and they hesitate. The vex do not..
-
10 RisposteVex, in theory, they can teleport anywhere any time. Besides, what major bosses do the covenant have? Elites?
-
19 RisposteModificato da OH ST8: 4/18/2015 4:08:54 AMIf you haven't played Halo 2 on legendary, your answer is completely invalidated. The Vex are a joke to an elites foot. Give a grunt a needler and he'd solo Atheon. And don't forget the Covenant in the lore are pretty much Gods that can mutilate armies of soldiers with a sword. Spartans can fight after their organs have been chopped up, and take cannon blasts to the chest. Moving so fast bullets look slow, without even wearing their armor. but an Elite can still stand up to them. Not to add that the Covenant have advanced vehicles (Cyclops<Scarab) and even gave aerial units. The Vex are only in competition because of teleportation, but have no chance in combat. Plus, the covenant can teleport if you give them an oracle lol. EDIT: I forgot one thing... PLEASE GO PLAY THE OUTSKIRTS MISSION IN HALO 2 ON LEGENDARY. THOSE DOD GAMN JACKALS CAN SNIPE BETTER THAN A 12 YEAR OLD SQUEAKS ON MW2

I believe against any other race, the covenant would superior in every way. For this, though, I would have to say the vex would win. They can travel across entire galaxies in and instant and have the ability to go back and forth in time at will.
-
you can't really compare the 2 based on the AI in the game obviously then the covenant would win, I've played through all the halo's on legendary and that takes a shit on any pve challenge in destiny. the vex as depicted in game in destiny are a watered down version of what they should be. so imo this is a kind of unmatched comparison based on how challenged the player felt fighting them. but imagine all of sudden transfer gates (not just the dinky ones in the game) popped up on all main covenant colonies and home worlds, flooding millions of vex on to planets the covenant can't just nuke from orbit. the vex would have a limitless supply of soldiers and supplies right on top of the enemy. the covenant wouldn't know what to do. as soon as the vex found out about the halo rings, they would instantly teleport to them before the covenant could even get there and could destroy or capture the rings. meanwhile the covenant forces as a whole as well as each individual race within the covenant would be feeling the pressure of a never resting, endless wave of vex. as the fighting continues the vex would slowly start converting the planet or doing whatever they do. the covenant ships would be wiped out from the inside rendering any desperate attempts to glass their own planets useless. also something worth noting, the vex are invisible without proper scanning equipment. which the covenant would not have at least right away. also not included is the possibility the vex actually have larger/arial/more destructive military tech
-
5 RisposteTwo words. Covenant. Navy. Most ships in the Covenant Armada were equipped with giant plasma beam cannons. A single ship could "glass" an entire planet in only a couple of days. By glass I mean utterly destroy and burn the entire surface of the planet, leaving it inhospitable for years and killing everything unfortunate enough to be down there.
-
9 RisposteCovenant. Vex can only teleport and all that in the vault of glass. Covenant would just glass Venus and destroy everything. People who say vex have obviously never played halo.
-
If the Vex ever operated at full potential, I'm sure they could annihlate any foe. We get the PG13 version of all the enemies so the game can be playable. Both uninhibited, the Covenant and Vex would be an excellent fight, but the Covenant are a finite army. The Vex control time and can teleport in and out of different times and according to the lore, they're infinite. I think they win from overwhelming the Covenant. Not to mention they're of a single mind. The Covenant had dissention among the ranks. The Vex win in my book.
-
The Vex are machines. What machine has ever cared about you?
-
If it is how they are in the games then covenant for sure. If vex actually used all their abilities well it may be a different war.
-
Covenant would win hands down. Don't understand how there are so many votes for the Vex!
-
How the hell do the vex have more votes? DO you people know nothing? I FEEL LIKE IM TAKING CRAZY PILLS HERE!!!
-
10 RisposteThey would just glass Venus and it would be over.
-
It would be an unfair fight. You guys always assume the covenant is one race when its not. Its a collection of races, so the vex outnumbered and outgunned would obviously lose
-
One word: Hunters All you need is a pair and they'll wipe out everything in their path
-
5 RisposteModificato da Sheriff: 4/18/2015 5:27:34 AMThe covenant would smoke check the vex. Sure the vex can teleport, but the covenant would overrun them with their armada, and would glass all their bases of operation. Plus they could activate the halo rings if they lose. The vex wouldnt know what they do.
-
4 RisposteVex can't lose dude
-
Vex would lose. EASY wraiths, banshees, ghosts, energy swords, fuel rod cannons, beam rifles, far more advanced technology than vex. The only thing the vex can do is teleport, and did i forget to mention hunters? Minotaurs are easily out matched by hunters. Vex would lose so easily.
-
If it was the covenant versus any other destiny enemy, the story would be different, but this the vex we are talking about
-
The vex can travel anywhere. Virtually instantaneously. That gives them a huge advantage in any war. They can time travel and according to the grimoire and item descriptions are older than our solar system. They can convert whole planet's into machinery. Whose to say they couldn't just BUILD a halo. Or their own fleet of planet sized warships? The covenant are insanely powerful. But the vex are trying to write themselves into the physics of existence. I give it to the vex.
-
6 RisposteTime traveling, teleporting, shielded robots, or alien alliance. Vex would win. If we were talking covenant versus fallen, that would be a different story.
-
Vex They exist in multiple dimensions. They could time travel and go back to when the covenent were weak and destroy them. And to all you idiots saying halo rings, they could teleport to a safe planet, let the rings explode and teleport on to the cov's ships and wreck them. Sure, they can glass a planet, but how can you compare that to turning one in to a machine that works for you? And the vex we've seen is only the Milky Way's vex. According to lore, what we've seen is the weakest of the vex. Zizzled
