Do you really need more than 5 heavy synthesis to kill Crota? Wipe a lot? Find a better team man.

Yeah I don't really have a team that raids together weekly, so I have to find random teams and half the time one person is like, who the hell is Crota?

Stfu. I forgot, you can control how crota, boomers, and sword bearer react. They aren't AI or anything...

I've only been using 2-3 per char since the first week, and that's in random groups.
