(But the trophies dont lie!!)
Lets see what trophys have to say about destinys population, shall we!?
16.4 million people bought destiny. a couple difference census' have shown that that a large number of copies were bought for both systems. on the playstation dashboard, in the trophy collection it shows the % of how many people worked hard enough to get certain trophies. even if the number of people who synced they trophies is less then the amount of people who have, there is a large enough control group of people who have, to gather the data that we are looking at today. so we will use all 16.4 million copies sold world wide today. you can get away with 1% of the population as a control group that would be 164,000. guaranteed there is more than 164,000 playstations synced. most people want 5% when dealing with millions of people. this still only equals to 820,000. a fraction of the number of sales. so lets get to it!
17.6% of people have completed the raid and 11% have completed the hard raid. thats 2.8 million people who beat regular, and 1.8 million people who have beaten hard.
You know what other game less than 20% of people didnt get to the end game? DIABLO 3.
What about weapons, since not everyone raids and some people just pvp, grind dailys?
18.3 % of people have played destiny enough to get a fully upgraded legendary. 3 million people fully upgraded legendary, and and 2.2 million have fully upgraded exotics.
15%( i dont have my playstation here, but all three are around 15-16% so im grouping them together, even though they are separate trophies)of people have done enough grinding to get warlock/hunter/titans sub classes maxed out. which means 2.4 million people have played one of 6 sub classes enough to get them maxed out.
this is the one stat that i believe stands above all else all you have to do is complete bounties. its not new armour, or weapons that you would get randomly. its a pure statistic, because it does not require you to do anything other than what you already are doing.
destiny is not the game bungie wanted it to be.

3 RisposteDevelopment cycles... how do they work? That's right you are asked a year out... so when do you think this is gonna be done? And knowing there is a ton of work to be done you go.... not till next march. So that goes on a presentation slide, and you pulled the date out of your arse. Mean while at the batcave, your product launches and has an enormous amount of bugs and a community willing to exploit them all and you start putting out fires. The development cycle starts to get away from you when you deal with the patching PLUS developing new content. The fact it's only delayed by a quarter from their original launch plans a year ago is pretty good. Sounds like someone is an ignoramous, but it's not the respondents but the OP.

Guardian Down!

4 Rispostei don't see anything in that photo or any comment by Deej of which you mention. what i do see is the word alleged. did you read too much into it and convinced yourself it was true?
-
Clearly it hasn't died if people are still playing it...
-
$20 this dolt plays destiny tomorrow.
-
2 RisposteI'll enjoy great sir! Thank you! Because I actually find patrol with friends fun! And crucible ! Thank you ! Until next time! Great sir!
-
I'm actually glad, since I didn't consume the new content like a crack addict.

9 RisposteComet will be released in September. Think about it man, why would they delay something already done and on the disc? If HoW came out in March, that would leave 6 months till Comet. That gap is way too long and people will drop off. If they release it in May, then it's now 4 months from Comet, spacing out the gaps. This is terrible. I need the Crux, Scout, Hard Ship, and Hard Sparrow and I am completely done with Crota. what am I going to do from March to May? They desperately need more PvE events.
-
Destiny must have died like a million times if you morons are to be believed.
-
I don't think delaying it really changes anything. There was going to be a long gap either way. Comet isn't scheduled to come out until Sept, that would have been a 6 month gap between releases. By delaying it until May, we only wait 5 months. Plus there seems to be more content being added than expected.
-
Destiny is dying due to lack of content and to much rehashed material in the so called expansion packs.
-
13 RisposteI'm happy its not coming until April may or June. More time to enjoy the guns and gear from the dark below. Sometimes I think people rush through the content way to fast. Enjoy the journey not the destination.
-
1 RispondiI didn't read past the second line of this but, it's a game. Meant for fun And it is taken way too seriously by a lot of people. Would you rather bungee rush and through this DLC as well, or wait a little longer. For a quality product
-
They are releasing HoW in Quarter 2. Earliest is April now
-
Easy buddy these weapons are great and stop cryin destiny is the best game of all time so go to hell awesome weapons keep it up bungie I love you guys thx for this great game the best ever , clips 99 level 32 Titan and warlock and hunter all rank 4 and still playin strong everyday destiny is life
-
I don't mind the delay. I'll just play other games while I wait. I'll be pissed off if HoW comes out and it's the same shít as TDB. If the raid is uninteresting compared to the VoG (like CE is) if the mechanics are the same and the upgrade system sucks, I probably won't play anymore.
-
2 RisposteWho released that photo? Oh not Bungie? They didn't want us to see that? Oh ok then they released ZERO information about when it would be released. Debunked!
-
If they deliver with the delay I'll be so glad they delayed it. If they delayed it + nothing changes, I'll be mad For now, indifferent
-
Destiny is like a bad relationship. It has really been dead for a while. We're just finally ready to accept it. (Ps destiny isn't going to die. It just sucks right now.)
-
1 RispondiAs soon as I get the word of crota I'm done for a few months.
-
Decent game. Not enough content. I'm so bored, I stopped playing two weeks ago and haven't even thought about destiny since. Occasionally I'll peek on here to see what's happening with the game. Other than that I'm done. I have all exotics, 2700+ grimoire, and the latter. I def got my money's worth, but I'm just bored now. These expansions are a joke. Waste of money sadly. There are games on Steam for half the price and double the content of destiny. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm afraid bungie has no idea what they are doing with this game. That can be proven by all the delays (Crota hard, dlc' pushed backed, ect) and I won't be purchasing comet or anything past that. I pre ordered HoW like most people when this game was over hyped, and I'm sure I'll play it, but destiny ends there for me. You can't make a bunch of new weapons and only two new "missions". Only simple minded morons find that enjoying to re run the same shit over and over with a different sounding weapon. Madness. I'll stand by until Bungie releases the game they promised someday.
-
I agree with you. It's sad how this community tries to defend destiny for what it is, an incomplete game. People can't seem to accept the fact that this game is way too repetitive to play for another 3 months of old content. I have most of the raid weapons and don't feel like wasting my time to get a weapon or two that I'm never going to use. Therefore the raids are pointless. I have most exotics and weapons I want so there's no point in doing the weekly heroic/nightfall missions. The only thing that makes me wanna play is getting my 3rd character to 32. Besides that, I don't play nearly as much as I used to.
-
yeah i can see it losing up to 50% player base if HoW takes as long as they say it will to be released. if the levels and weapons are already in the game and they just need retexturing or re-skinning then i don't understand why it needs to take so long other than if they're hoping that they are prolonging the games life, which from what the forums are saying (not that Bungie/Activision seem to pay attention to them) is going to stagnate and dissipate long before. Luckily i didn't buy the season pass so I'm not inclined to play HoW or any other future planned over priced DLC packs. Activision should cut their loses and leave Bungie to get back to what they do best
-
2 RisposteBuh bye now Susan

Wish the game would have some other activities than those raids. I don't care about them.
