Xur has failed us. he has not brought the purple boxes of hope The Nine had promised. Guardians wary enough to have horded them during the last era of plenty eye their stock piles greedily. While others who weren't as frugal wander the wild scavenging from the dead.
Raid teams turn on themselves as one by one the life saving rounds disappear from their magazines by way of some cruel invisible hand, and suspicion gives way to indignation, pitting Guardian against Guardian. Yet other Guardians fall to madness trapped beneath the moons surface, they empty their last weapon stores into the darkness in sacrifice to the Traveler that he may hear their cries, they are seldom seen again.
The Exclusion Zone on Mars has become rampant with the glimmerless, hoping to get just enough to make it through the day, as the price gougers in The Tower writhe their hands in anticipation of the fleecing to come, and take advantage of the weary and forlorn with what can only be described as the callous soulless efficiency of the automaton, but still, the Speaker and the Architects put no words to the matter and rumor of dark corruption abound ....Why have we been forsaken, O' great and wise traveler will there be no end to our suffering?

2 RisposteThe bottom line is that someone at Bungie, prior to today, had to decide whether or not heavy ammo would be available from Xur. That person then ignored the facts that a bug in the game has been depleting us of heavy ammo since launch and that people are trying to beat Crota on hard, which requires lots of heavy ammo. Then that person decided NOT to make it available, despite going to great lengths to explain that they knew about the bug and were working on it. Did they do the right thing and say "hey, sorry we screwed up our game. We're fixing it, but in the meantime we'll make ammo available as often as we can". No they did not. You all can be nice, and polite. That's fine. Unless I'm shown a logical reason why making it available from Xur would harm the game I'm going to choose to believe that the devs are simply being *vindictive. Its really that simple folks. *vindictive* is not the word I wanted to use.

5 RisposteJust got ruin wings so suck on that titan master race
-
2 RisposteWhats funny is people seem to think purple ammo drops don't exist. Or they rely too much on heavy weapons.

Modificato da Jakaja: 1/30/2015 6:59:57 PMVanguard- "Guardians, we are getting #rekt on all fronts! Explain!" Me- "Well, sir, heres the deal. We are out of heavy ammo." Vanguard- "Out of heavy ammo!? How in the name of the Traveler are you out of heavy ammo!?" Me- "Weeelll...xûr is not selling any and gosh, just try and stay sane by farming glimmer to get some from that old Gunsmith" *gunsmith runs to Speaker crying* Vanguard- "Why isnt Xûr selling any?" Me- "donno" Same time in Old Russia, A devil captain is sitting on a pile of heavy ammo while his vandals snipe supply ships down. Captain- "Raek al, shur nem!"* *get #rekt

1 Rispondi+1, but please, got god's sake, PARAGRAPHS!!!

2 RisposteI've noticed a pattern in this thread: People who insist on buying from the gunsmith usually have less than 10 total raid completions and more than not, 0 CE completions. The exception to this pattern are people who are ok with farming glimmer, something I hate to do myself. Oh and people who say "Buy from Eris" just no, stop it.

-blam!-ing Xur.
-
I like the title to your post. Its great but the struggle is real.
-
Solution at least until heavy ammo bug fixed: Let the tower vendors sell it for crucible/vg marks. I still don't understand a quartermaster that sells weapons but no ammo???? If Bungie is really sorry about the heavy ammo bug, how about every Tuesday drop some heavy ammo synths for players at the post office???? At least until bug fixed.
-
I bought a ton a month ago. You snooze, you lose. Was in a group for hm Crota cp last night. We kept having to farm for heavies. Facepalm
-
Bungie owes us free heavy ammo synth's, we all lost heavy ammo at some point.
-
Let me get this right, we are spending fictitious currency for fake ammunition to kill enemies that don't actually exist? Sounds to me we never had it to begin with LMAO
-
I am so thirsty
-
13 RisposteAm I missing something???? Surely you can buy them from the weapon vendor for 950 glimmer??? Go do exclusion zone for 15mins and you will have 10000+ glimmer = 15 mins work for 10 x heavy weapon synths.
-
Here is an idea, dont waste heavy ammo synth on groups that arent capable. If its clear that the group can down him only then consider using them. Otherwise i could care less about this being fixed compared to just getting some feedback about the overall direction of Destiny. Seems like Destiny 1 is all about trial and error and sheep bleats infesting the replies and threads of people and the concerns they have with this game.

1 RispondiOr you could just do VOG, get corrective measure, upgrade it to surplus, then once all the heavy is down switch to desired heavy weapon. Lesson over.
-
But didn't you see the weekly update? Some time in the next month you'll get an extra rocket after you die compared to before! Everything is OK!!!
-
1 RispondiWord on the street is Banshee got a fresh supply of that purple recently.
-
6 of us went to the moon to stop Crota.....I was carrying 20 Heavy Ammo Synthesis', but the other's weren't so lucky.....In the end, only I survived.....
-
8 RisposteXur sold heavy two weeks ago people. If you're out then it's your own fault.
-
Pull out your corrective measure if no ruin wings
-
Yea, it's been tough! Ruin Wings do a bit to alleviate.
-
*cough*gunsmith*cough*

10 RisposteBeautiful post I bought 400 or so before the drought... don't look at my pile... go away!
-
Ahahahaha adroit terminology
-
In less than one hour you can farm enough glimmer for an entire stack of Synth, which to a good player on a good team is enough for an entire week on one, or even two, character(s).
