Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

Yes, the only legit way to beat crota is for the entire f*cking team to stand right next to crota and dodge both him and boomer rockets the entire time! Scrub.

So i guess the legit strategy would be stand directly in the center where crota, the boomers, thralls, swordbearer, and gate keeper can all hit you.....use only primary weapons to take crotas shield down, no supers, and beat the raid....am i understanding this correctly?

3 RisposteOn a related note, if the person jumping from the mid ledge to get the sword doesn't fire his/her weapon once in the pit, not a SINGLE SHOT, the Knights will not aggro on them. I didn't believe it when I first heard it but I've successfully downed Crota twice on hard as swordbearer now and it freakin works. Didn't take a single boomer hit. No Titan bubble required.

LOL at calling this cheese. This would be like calling the queens gambit cheese. You may not like it but its still a strategy. And a team is bad if they dont take the time to distract the boomers away from the sword bearer.

Modificato da SayItWitMeNow: 1/30/2015 6:20:40 PMBruh, next time you run sword make sure you have a titan place a bubble on the platform a few meters out from the middle (right or left which ever side is best). You'll know what I mean as there is a circular bluish "vent" on both plats that are on either side of your team. Have the titan use the blessings of light perk and the perk that increases duration of ward of dawn. He only needs to dance in this bubble and slip out the back to fire a rocket or two if ever necessary, to keep the agro off your ass. Trust me you'll never worry about boomers again. I'm on Xbox one zx14rABS if you would like me to show you exactly where to place it. This drops orbs for possibly another titan in rotation, keeps agro off you, and keeps the titan safe as well. Simply make sure orbs are in heavy rotation for a sole titan or if you have two or more have them rotate "bubble duty" as I call it. You're right, the middle plat strategy can be easy but can be tricky and frustrating if the strategy doesn't protect the "team" or in this case the most important aspect of the fire team, damaging crota "sword guy". You may not even want or need this advice but in the event you do use, I hope it works well for you and others that are having trouble. Good luck and GOD bless.

What I'm not finding hard to do is muting someone for their ignorance because others followed the method "Work smarter, not harder". Blatant stupidity at its finest because people are able to complete it with less effort.

Its not a cheese. Lol If you use the left side strategy, and have two guardians sitting back into the room, out of the boomers range its the same thing. Is that a cheese? No. Pop a bubble on the side that the sword bearer goes up and have someone stand in it. It agros the boomers and leave the sword bearer alone.

3 RisposteI don't like it either. Finally was able to jump into a Crota fight (I'm lvl31) and the 32s insisted the middle strategy. We had no luck doing it, boomers were the obvious problem but noone seemed to care for whatever reason. Then I get called out by the 32s for not shooting crota because apparently im the only one that realizes hey those knights up there, yeah they can kill the swordbearer. I'd like to of tried the left strategy, I mean a wizard isnt hard to kill....Guess I'll wait til next week and hopefully be able to get some armor to be 32. My 112 radiant shards are getting lonely.

It's not a cheese but you believe what you want.as sword barer I've had no issues with mid strat because they still distract them. Only times we wipe is when the raid glitches.

forget the bubble just have a guy stager the boomers with IB and the knights never shoot. He says its cheese yet he cant even do the Strat correctly.

So it's a cheese to keep a distance from boomers and have sword bearer jump up the center or the platform where the chalice was. Good job making yourself look like a retard ;) even bungie thinks it's a good strategy. You have two options with equal results. Send the sword bearer up and hope he doesn't get mauled by the boomers, or you can kill them and waste time killing a wizard. Not a cheese, it's a strategy. Go learn strategy bro.

I don't see why beating crota the easy way WITHOUT glitching him is bad. And if the sword bearer dies, it usually isn't his fault, that's why you use a defender titan to distract them. Nothing you have said is true. I'm not whining but, if you would reply, I could have an intel when argument on how it isn't a cheese.

All you have to do is get a titan to put down a bubble on the left or right (which ever way person with sword goes) down on the side where crota would be if he wasnr in middle and boomers will shoot a bubble and not sword. Then titan just jumps up to shoot rockets
