Reason why I hate HM Crota "Mid Strategy" aka cheese
1) Boomers can't hit you, so teammates never kill them and the boomers kill the swordbearer and they blame the SB for dying.
2) Takes away the fear from the boomers.
3) Takes no skill.
4) Teammates never want to listen to a legit strategy that benefits all players especially the SB, they only focus on themselves so they can't die and cause the team to wipe.
5) People don't have to respec their Class and change their armor and weapons for the HM since they eliminate basically all damage.
I'm hoping Bungie will patch this cheese..

I don't understand why you think a groups chosen position designates that strategy as a cheese. Your logic is invalid.

It's not a cheese, it's standing within the map and it's not exploiting any system, it's the exact same as the mid-strat for Atheon, or simply just standing anywhere in the dam map. Also if you're in a team that simply leaves the boomers alone then they don't know what they're doing, you're supposed to keep the boomers distracted without killing them, it's the same as the left, or right strat, just more central.

4 RisposteHow would you change it? How exactly would you do it. It's not cheating, it's standing on a platform. Remove the platform? They wouldn't change level architecture. Spawn a gate keeper on it? He could probably be pushed with solar grenades. There's no reasonable "fix", because it's not broken. Boomer duty still applies if your team can't wrap their heads around agro, find a better team.

That's like saying the bubble strat on Atheon is cheating/cheesing. It's not, it's a strategy. The 2 strategies are very similar in nature where you can't really get shot using them. That being said both are still viable strategies that shouldn't ev fixed. This is different than a cheese. A cheese is exploiting game glitches. This is just a place to stand. That's it. Not a glitch like crota's infinite kneeling. So stop crying over the smallest things

Reason why you're argument is invalid. 1. Avoiding damage is not a cheese. 2. You have to move. It's not like standing on The sniper platform in VOG where you can just sit and kill the Templar. 3. You can be killed by stuff inside the room if you are too close to the window. 4. You still deal with every element of the fight. Including boomers when you leave the ledge to go inside. You need to calm down as a sword person I've never had a problem with dying or being blamed when a wipe occurred during this strategy.

Strategy, not cheating. Nice rant though and at least this keeps people talking. Bungie could add in more elements to stop players from using this strategy, but its not as if players are using areas developers did not intend them to get to (just for crota fight) or network glitches any longer.

i personally like doing left strategy so that way we can spawn orbs for sword bearer and he can use his super multiple times.

1 RispondiIt's not a cheese lol it might be a cheap spot but it's def not a cheese. And I know the legit strat but middle is still easier. You complain about boomers? Send a defender Titan to the blue platform on the left or right and put up a bubble. The boomers on that respective side try to kill the Titan to no avail and that's JUST like the left strat where you only killed one side.even then. You could do the left strat and send a Titan with a bubble to be the distraction. You still don't get hit and the fight is exactly the same...

Lol sounds like you just suck man. I know everybody can't be good at the game and that's ok. It is after all just a game. But if you and your team aren't good enough to handle this strategy don't down it for that reason. We are quite successful with it. But then again sounds like we are a little more experienced.

Mid platform is not a cheese. If it was a cheese it'd be a simple method to kill Crota. But since boomers are alive it makes it HARDER to kill Crota. So it does take a level of skill for the sword bearer to make his way there safe. It's not a cheese because you aren't glitching out of the map, or pushing Crota over a ledge that insta kills him. See now that's a cheese.

And just to note, I think cheesing is more along the lines of abusing game mechanics or taking advantage of mechanics. Strategic placement to avoid enemy fire seems to be a viable tactic. I tell you, those Union flunkies really cheesed the rebels when they took Culp's Hill in Gettysburg.

I like the downing crota on left and right strat too cause you dont have to worry about boomers.
