The thing with a 28 is that if you die it's an over soul not to mention you do absolutely 0 damage to help out on crota. It's a carry not helping you out and not many people are find of giving away free loot to someone who can't help... Look at all the rage against inactives on roc strikes

Why are you still 28 and why do you want to get carried by randoms instead of levelling up first?

Hi there. I will explain to you in simple terms why you as a 28 are not getting invited. 1. It is easy to get to 29/30 without raid and will probably be 10x faster. 2. As a 28 by the bridge you are doing 25% damage or somewhere to that degree. By no means helpful. 3. Upon reaching crota you can now not do anything at all to anyone so you are now just dead weight where people would prefer some extra. Yesterday i was forced to come off my 31 warlock whos now got armour for 32 to go to my 32 hunter too kill crota this was because of a 28 we were carrying. Last week i ran raid 3-4 times for no rewards helping out other people who needed it.

my input on the lower lvls <31 is that they dont take the effort (even if they are great players)to get up to 31(easiest thing to do) so why bother to help them reach higher lvl. first you must show that you respect your self in order for others to respect you!!! I like helping lower lvls cause i've been there myself. i didnt bought destiny with a loaded 30 lvl guardian. i reached my full potential till 29lvl solo then tried to find raid teams so i can go into VOG and get to lvl30. same thing after DLC. First tried to reach lvl 31 and then went for 32lvl Im not trying to dis you but that is how i see things for smaller lvl guardians that want help to reach higher levels. willing to help those that helps themselfs

Reason 1: cuz there's no reason you shouldn't be a 30.. Reason 2: most under leveled people are just liabilities

If I'm going to carry anyone through ce it would be friends of mine. If I join a random group and they are carrying a friend of theirs I might stay and help. But..don't go begging randoms for a carry, especially when you can get 31 from vendor gear..that's just sad.

I have beat crota one time as 32 swordbearer but rest was 2 x 31, 30, and 2x29. So as long as you can do damage to crota and rest can stay alive its possible with lower levels.

If you want to be carried, ask your friends instead. To expect randoms to carry someone who could not contribute might be asking for a bit too much.

We just carried a 27 through tonight no wipes, except intentional wipes for first chest and once when I glitched. Otherwise we were on our way to a wipeless crota finish with a 27

Because in this particular raid, by the end of the raid the adds have gone up two more levels, and a 4 level lead over you is making it just a carrying. I'm not trying to be an ass about it but being 4 levels lower than everything makes it VERY difficult to be helpful in any way.

You can't blame most people for not wanting to carry a 28, I carry 30's through every so often and they usually handle themselves well enough not to be leeches, but a 28 physically can't contribute because of his damage penalties and is essentially dead weight (and worse during the boss fight if they die and spawn Oversouls). The simple fact is that 30 is so easy at this point to get that it's tough to find people sympathetic to a 28 wanting to fight enemies 4 levels higher than them, even without maxing out the various Vendor Gear pieces you'd still hit level 30 (maxing them out of course gets you to 31). If you need Ascendant materials run Vault of Glass on Hard (preferably on your higher level characters), if you need armor materials run Roc playlist for Engrams, if you need Spinmetal etc. spend some spare Marks and buy them from the vendors, and if you need experience do Bounties. I know there's a fair amount of work involved in getting all the armor pieces for each character and then maxing them out, but if you haven't done your due diligence then you shouldn't be surprised if people don't want to play with you outside of charity (and being a charity case isn't something you should even be seeking out in the first place). I've learned my lesson the hard way when the game first came out that being severely under-leveled turns you into dead weight, and no one with any self respect enjoys playing like that so I would never do so again myself, nor do I feel compelled to enable others to play so far above their level. Get your gear straightened out and get to 30, 2 levels under isn't so bad and I for one am happy to play with (competent) level 30's (on Normal) despite being under-leveled, but 4 levels under is asking too much.

You won't do any damage to lvl 32s.. And you can simply get vendor gear and be 31

A level 28 can't physically do any damage to 32 enemies honestly try it and it will say immune every shot

I think most people will assume a Lvl 28 won't know what they're doing. Tbh I wouldn't have a Lvl 28 with me just because the damage they do is minimal and they will get one shotted by everything.

Try getting Vanguard gear first and one exotic armor. That puts you into level 31 when maxed out. You won't have this problem then. :)
