nobody can do Crota anymore
Seriously.
Wipe.
Repeat.
Wipe.
Repeat.
Nobody wants the sword.
Now everyone has Icebreakers a few more want to do boomer duty but take three shots to kill 1...
Also, why do so many people ONLY try to hit him when he is in the middle? There is a platform in the middle that you can jump left or right from once you have the sword, just get the timing right with your team!
I have not been able to clear Crota this week with randoms.
The worst part? Everyone yells and has their own idea and none of them ever work. I stand quietly and one shot boomers the moment they come out the door, the team never sees them.
I sound like an elitist jerk but seriously watch youtube or something. Don't keep shooting Crota when he is down.
Don't try to take his shield down with a primary.
Don't stand right at the door if the bottom tunnel when killing ogres.
Don't insist he can only be hit when he is in the middle.
Don't yell "SHIT!" When Crota comes left and pulverises your butt because you didn't listen when we all yelled "he is heading left!"
Sigh.

Pretty done with this, just a few points for the TLDNR crowd.
1) I didn't say it couldn't be done, I was saying that all the PUGs I have played in this week are really struggling.
2) I didn't say I was a great player, just one that can play Okay.

Can anyone recommend a clan or is a member of one that is recruiting?
I play most week nights on weekends and am, in my own opinion, an alright player. I am a teacher by trade, so regardless of how this wall of text may come across I am actually incredibly patient.
I would like to get to know a group of players, the clan I am currently a member of just kind of died...

The issues with lfg.. Get a solid reset raid team and you won't have to struggle with these problems. I never have because I have a dedicated team who are all like minded. Beat hard crota 3 times. Got all the raid primary's. #3rdworlddestinyproblems

3 RisposteI know what u mean. Witnessed that tonight. Its because the scrubs are all in normal and the good players r all trying to beat crota cp on hard tonight. Took me around 8 scrub teams while i was a thirty two w maxed ib one shotting boomers killing ogres taking sword doing literally everything. Finally a team of dive dudes who also gave in on hard invited me and i was the only thirty two as they were playing on their alts... It was funny cuz i got the hunter helm i had been wanting so bad but also the fusion rifle AND patience and time... Thought it was funny as hell "patience and time" tonight required a lot of both.

If you say you know how to fight Crota and then fail to demonstrate that trait, you're kicked. If you say you've never fought him before, you get three chances.

Was in 2 crota raids last night. The first one was very smooth, beat everything on first try, done in 30 minutes. 2nd raid I was with mostly former cheesers and at least 1 person new to the raid. Had to explain the bridge, deathsinger and crota to some degree. It was tough.

I have had the same issue this week. I normally run as the sword bearer and I am either getting killed by boomers because saying "You just stay there and shoot boomers" isn't clear enough or the rest of the fireteam isn't doing enough damage to bring Crota down for me to start swinging. Add that with the sword disappearing before I even grab it half of the time and it has been a real clusterf**k this week for sure.

Christmas noobs... A good team makes it an easy raid, try doing VoG on hard when it first came out... Was horrible, just horrible. Even with a good team it was a mofo.

Ever since the cheeses got harder, people don't want to do it.. It's not that hard to stay alive In the game, if your getting shot, well some would say, I dunno, MOVE! It requires communication aswell. So Mics people, there not that expensive! And if you 12 years old, get mum and dad to buy 1!

I kinda don't like crota's only because it's less forgiving than VoG and people have issues with that as it is when you really shouldn't be. I just wish the sword for the bridge sequence stayed for just a little longer to help you actually have a bit of time to get past the thralls and such waiting for you and actually attack the keeper That and crota enrages a bit too fast.

I had the same problem early this week but last night I finally got some solid teammates and we all gang banged the -blam!- outta crota. 2x!!! It's not hard at all if you have teammates that actually have some skill. Unfortunately that is not something everybody posses. Not to sound like a dick.

First down of every sword we do with primaries. He's always down by the time the sword can reach him (literally a couple of seconds), 2nd down we Ghorn/ heavy him right back down so there is no delay - 3rd down is the same. Next sword - repeat. Doesn't ever go past the 2nd kneel down of the 2nd sword though.

You're just playing with the wrong people. I've cleared crota twice this week with randoms. First team we did it second try in 2 swords. Second time we kill him second try in 3 swords.

On Crota, for the first round of hits, we use one Gjallarhorn rocket and the rest primary. Second round of hits is all heavy. Works very well.

I don't have group to raid with I get it done with randoms, all it takes is a good raid lead, no leader = too many generals not enough soldiers good random raiders learn from the worst and the best, we just learn to adapt and don't act like a female dog make sure you make friends with the good randoms you meet

Crota is so simple. We did it three times in a row in an hour. The only wiped were from us making stupid mistakes cause we were -blam!-ing around having fun. The entire raid is a joke. I can literally walk through the first part with my hunter. No not jump on the rock and then the ledge, just walk through it normally. Second part is also simple and even worse can still be cheesed. It tut takes almost a full five minutes with a fire team of three and crota is just a matter of timing. 2:10 after leaving the room he moves, and then moves on the minute every minute after. Hopefully hard raid presents a challenge, unfortunately (just like with vog) it with simply be the same game mechanics, just increased difficulty. Can't wait for house of wolves. At least it will be something new to grind.

I did have a go practising with sword as well but found out that it was really really hard to be the sword guy. Mostly we struggled because I was terrible with sword, the team could have communicated and coordinated better, but it was mostly that I found sword with titan really hard. The other parts of crota boss I find easy though.

Edit of the last edit Just hooked up and killed him in a team of 3.[/quote] I feel the pain ..i haven't even been able to beat him yet but once with a team who cheese it .now every time me and a random team gets to crota they all die get mad and leave .same with vog .finding a raid team is f#@king hard ..if anyone is on xb1 add my gt TeXaS TaTeR99 I'll do a raid anytime as long as we finish the damn thing
