Legendary Engrams = Ascendant Energy
Just bitching, I wanted to point out that this happens too often. My Cryptard is level 35 and it means nothing. I have had multiple legendary engrams, both as finds and mailbox packages, turn into 2 Ascendant Energies each. Only a handful of weapons are worth upgrading so it's easy to have too many of these. (I have like 50+)
If limited gaming time and light levels weren't such a bitch for 3 characters, I wouldn't mind so much. Good job on slowing down our progress Bungie, mission accomplished! I can't earn shards to save my life, not when ROC blues turn into junk 100% of the time. The only guarantee is buying with Marks and even that's still limited.

Really? I almost never get shards/energy. Of course I don't get many legendary engrams either.

For me it's like one in 10 what the engram is. 90% of the time I get energy or shards.

1 RispondiIt doesn't even make sense. Bungie is totally missing the mark with this. Legendary weapons aren't like the end all, be all of the game so I don't see how it how break the game to have legendary engrams turn into what they are advertised as when picking them up. At the very least, the forums would have some fun threads where people would be showing off cool perks they got that aren't available through the faction versions for sale.

3 RisposteI have over 200 ascendent shards and over 150 energy. I don't need them. And most of the weapons I do happen to get from legendary engrams get broken down anyway. The rare occasion RNGesus shines on me and I get an exotic...mainly from gear engrams. I haven't received a new shader in a long time from the cryptarch. Or from factions either. The vault of glass has turned into a big materials run, with a shot at a 1.0 exotic from the chest. Constantly stocking green engrams is worthless. But if he stocked blue engrams...people would buy them and speed through the cryptarch levels super fast. So I can see why he doesn't sell blues. The gunsmith though...he should sell rare guns after a certain light level, say lvl 25, with a random faction or vanguard weapon that's legendary every other reset. Those are my 2 cents
