Gift from bungie: Free Exotic?
I was thinking, since DeeJ stated that there would be some "stocking stuffers" when the holidays are over, will Bungie be offering a free exotic weapon to all its players?
Now, I have thought it out, so don't rule out this possibility just yet.
I can up with the idea of Bungie offering ONE exotic weapon engram. You can get one, and only one. That means that only one of your characters will be able to acquire it.
As to what kind of weapon it will be, that will be all RNG as usual. There will be one kind of exotic weapon engram, they won't be divided into primary, special or heavy. You get what you get.
The engram will be available at your postmaster on, before or after Christmas and will not disappear, unlike xur who is only available in the tower for 48 hours. You can hold onto it for as long you want, which means players can use it when it gets delivered, or save it for another time.
This would be a perfect thing for Bungie to do, in my opinion of course. If they really want to say thank you, this is the way to do it.

EDIT 3: To all who are seeing this post, I will ask a question. Does Bungie take the feedback that It receives seriously, or do they just not care anymore? I've been wanting to ask people this question a numerous number of times, and I think now is the appropriate time to ask it.

Bungie allows us to upgrade any Legendary items, be it armor or weapons, to 2.0 status/331 and so on.

Knowing how bungie is, the gifts will be either a sparrow that looks like santa claus's carriage with the red and white colors or maybe like in halloween a santa claus's hat that lasts for 10 minutes or so.

It's probably going to be just a random engram, decided by RNG on rareness. Most people will get a blue one.

Question is Is this a gift to US, the players that have shown dedication over the past few months OR is it Bungies way of making it look like the game isn't that harsh, because the Christmas noobs will benefit from this too I assume

Dear Bungie Claus, I'd like an Exotic Leg Armor Engram. I have 1 of each class, so no matter what, 1 of them would get some new stockings, lol. Already have a lot of the E-Armor and E-Weapons, so would probably end up with a duplicate if it was for anything else. What would be really cool is if they put a range on the RNG gifted based on number of hours played, that way D1/Week1 players would be guaranteed exotic something, while the christmas noobs at least get a blue (being overly generous... nah Green Engram - Feel The Cryptgrinch's Wrath! :P )

Don't get your hopes up, as much as its going to be they will most likely give you some legendary engrams, maybe a christmas shader but thats it.
