Why do people make female characters? I don't get it?

When you get to make a character in any game I tend to make mine up to resemble my wife. I just like it that way

I did it to differentiate between my primary warlock and secondary warlock.

Because most Destiny female character gamers are not twelve and therefore do not want our legend character to have Justin Bieber or One Direction hair. Also if we aren't emo.

I play a female for a number of reasons. For a lot of years you just plain couldn't. If I'm going to be looking at something for hours on end it should at least be aesthetically pleasing, and I'd rather look at a pretty girl than a beefy guy. Also I like to be something I'm not when I play a game. If one of the character models was a short guy with a beard and glasses, that's the one I would never choose. I'm an escapist when it comes to video games, and it's a lot easier to escape my own reality when I'm gaming if I'm playing a character wholly unlike myself. Never played a human in D&D, chose to only play horde characters in WOW, and even play a female in Trove ( which is a free mmo on pc, check it out). I hope I answered your question!

Interesting, I like having my characters looking as much like me as I can. That said, I'm an Exo in Destiny because all the human males look like evolutionary throwbacks.

Female characters look better, I didn't like any of the male options. It becomes choosing which one isn't the worst instead of what you like the most.

So you have never played Tomb Raider, Parasite Eve, Bayonetta, Resident Evil, Metroid, or the myriad of other games with a female protagonist?
