So, after spending the last couple of days working outrageously long shifts at work, I returned home to play a little Destiny and log in. As I clicked X to play and logged into my character, I was suddenly filled with dread. Call of Duty: AW had launched! Surely, I thought, Destiny must've died if all the constant posts about how COD would kill it were right, and there were so many! Yet as I returned to the Tower, I was surprised to see it was full! It might be a fluke, I thought, so I went for a quick match in the Crucible! And once again, matchmaking times hadn't slowed a bit! How could this be, I wondered? Surely the internet majority had spoken, and their voice was truth? And then I remembered...... They weren't. They are just a tiny slice of the much larger gaming demographic, and I went my merry way playing Destiny. Now, I have a few more weeks of listening to people scream about how the MCC, Far Cry, or Assassin's Creed will kill Destiny, only to bathe in the tears of their frustration when it doesn't happen to look forward to.
