OMG Atheon Cheese!
I'm sick of everyone trying to "cheese" Atheon. Why is it that no one wants to beat him legit? Every party I failed with always wanted to stop, and try cheesing, which threw off our whole rhythm. If you're a good player you should be able to beat Atheon without cheesing him. The old way worked better but this way is meant to make the game legit, and everyone who only cheeses don't get the rewards that they don't deserve.
I am CALLING OUT everyone who only cheeses, you suck. You're not a good player, that's all there is to it. You're garbage, and don't complain that they made Atheon too hard. They chose to make it that way because people like you don't deserve the rewards.

Tried cheesing him on hard mode with a group for hours. And several games too. Lol we finally decided to just kill him, took less than 20 minutes. Lol. :P

I guess everyone that cheeses the nightfall strike are bad players too? Also, people only want to cheese Atheon because the raid is so riddled with glitches it makes it very hard to complete legit. IMO it shouldn't take an extra 2-3 hours just to defeat a bullet sponge which will probably only reward the players with even more sparrows/shaders/ships/upgrade materials.

Cheesing takes longer than regular on Atheon. I still cheese the templar only to get to Atheon. To me, the templar is just annoying.

I have pushed him off as many times across multiple characters as possible. I will keep pushing off the templar and cheating the oracles until they patch that. And if there is a way to push off any of the next raid bosses I will do that too. :)

There is so many glitches with the Atheon fight that I can completely understand cheesing it. I mean really. What did they expect when giving us a broken boss fight?

Because after an hour of doing it legit and having the fight glitch over and over people get fed up with broken mechanics and just want to get it done.

Also: I hear Templar Wine makes a great pairing with Atheon Cheese.

Why? If the reward system was a bit more fair then i would understand. You can do the raid for 30 times and still got no raid gear. It has nothing to do with people sucking at this game, the game itself has numerous bugs and the reward system sucks. Therefor i`m ok with people finding different ways to defeat atheon

Come on ... this whole game isn't requiring any top level skills, it's just about how often you do the VoG and if you're blessed by RNGesus or not ... But... can we just stop hating, whining and just play together. Peace Guardians ;-)

Who cares, after you've beaten this bugged ass boring raid over and over you find ways to do it faster. Grow up and get over it. My clan knocks him off anytime we want, sometimes we go legit, other times we knock him off. Get over it. Yeah let's sit here and shoot a bullet sponge everytime for a shader and material, yeah...that's fun, challenging, & rewarding. The only thing challenging about this raid is getting through all the bugs...again, grow up child.

1 RispondiI'm starting to think checkpoint sharing is the main problem. Too many people can skip the entire raid just to cheese the final boss for a chance at the best loot. If they couldn't easily get checkpoints from others, most of the cheesers probably couldn't get to Atheon in the first place.

It's hard to play with random players bc most of the time they are awful and you have to boot. A warning to all ---- DONT INVITE A GUY NAMED "MAGIC GIRAFFE"

You've got to be really lucky to find a party that can carry their own weight. Not to mention the new update with the random portals has eliminated any structure in the strategy to beat Atheon. Everybody really needs to know what they're doing now.

I'm with you on that one!! When I'm looking for 1 or 2 to fill a team all I see on the forums are people looking for warlocks to push on a hard save they got from just hoping in a game.

2 RisposteI agree, I don't like the cheesing at all. However, I will say this. The people who cheese it and the people who do it right still get the same Chatterwhite and Shards at the end. Also, just a thought. If you cheese it and kill him really fast, you won't have to deal with the miniatures regenerating health, having just 2 people teleport, and glitchy portals. I still don't support the exploit (or strategic tactic whatever you wanna call it). I've also beat him with all those glitches. Just some players don't wanna deal with that so they cheese him. Because Atheon is trying to cheese the players by said glitches, the players are only cheesing him back

I have defeated my first ever raid with the legit way. I liked it. Cheesing atheon prepatch was easy. Post patch is too hard. I'm all for the cheesing because it takes lesser time
