Coming from a loyal COD guy man AW just feels different..... its not like the past COD games..... how does this tie into destiny u may ask? Destiny is such a step above mechanic wise its crazy.... (shooting.. moving...melee) destiny has really set the bar....and this is coming from a COD fanboy loyalist and all that... I put the game down to watch walking dead just thought I would give you guys the heads up.... Be happy there is a Destiny, yeah I know it has its problems, yeah I know it has its glitches, but its the best FPS out right now.....
PS ... no emotion or bias was felt in writing this OP.... just a rational emotionless view on playing AW for an hour or so
EDIT: lol I made this post on a whim.... As im scrolling down I see Deej gave his 2 cents haha.... Much respect to the guys and gals with constructive and thoughtful feedback.... And for the the trolls and agitators keep trolling!!!!!

It's reminds me of titianfall.

1 Rispondiagree that Destiny has an almost perfect "feel" for movement, shooting and aiming. Mostly the aiming, it is REALLY easy to aim in Destiny with a controller. However I find myself completely un-addicted to Halo or Destiny MP, where COD usually gets me for a while and for a LONG time on the split screen. Destiny should have had split screen and bots. Now that I think of it, it is the progression that is the difference. There is just a GIGANTIC amount of dopamine feedback events going on in COD progression and play. Destiny is much more anemic in this respect. You never get mad at the progression in COD but you actually get pissed and frustrated at the progression in Destiny. The good "feels" are so rare in Destiny and they end entirely after a while where COD can keep them going for a HUGE amount of time.

In all honesty, I picked it up to just so that my friends and I can have a split screen game to play when they come over.(Lol) I'm really looking forward to Far Cry 4. I probably won't even play Destiny after that hits (until Dark Below comes out)

I loved cod from 4 - well not ghost I felt the game mechanics were so different it wasn't cod is this the same ??
-
We tried to warn you
-
SHUT UP COD FANBOY! Wait..what? You're one of the good guys! But tbh i have no clue about COD anymore i lost intrest after MW3 was such a disaster..but i'm very happy i have (a) destiny in life
-
I agree with this guy. Im a hardcore battlefield guy and although it had its bugs bf4 is one of the best online fps games out there. If your a cod fan try bf4 on a 64 player team deathmatch server and tell me what you think. Destiny however has kept me away from bf4 since launch, that to me says alot about this game. Its not perfect yet but sure is alot of fun and I really don't see myself playing anything else for a long time.

CoD is at the bottom of the barrel in terms of quality. The only military shooter that I will ever play is the Battlefield series. More realistic, better feel, and much better Multiplayer.

2 Risposteplease tell me (people in this thread) how the new COD is a breath of fresh air it has new movement mechanics that are more clunky and sluggish then even warframe wich is free to play. its a twitchy mess catered to the lowest common denominator. wich is in part why it sells so well. i could never dump a game every year for a similar version every year, i like to get more bang for my buck not that destiny is delivering really well on that right now...lol im hoping destiny can really polish up some of the gameplay in the crucible (namely things like lag compensation) and put some more varied game types and imo it will be leagues better. any game whose ttk has to be so fast to cover for the skill deficients is a sucky game

7 RisposteModificato da GalvatronAlpha7: 11/4/2014 9:12:53 AMThe above video is Star Citizen FPS game in the works. Looks fantastic. Another reason why I need to build a PC. When I see games like the above, I look at COD and BF with a slant eye. They won't change the formula, as long as gamers keep buying em. IMO, I don't classify Destiny as the typical FPS. Its definitely in it's own class. Now if I want something competitive, then I look to the above video, which beats out COD and BF by miles. But of course, that's PC. Yet, I feel that the current gen systems could bring out something a bit more mature like the above video. Again, they won't change the formula as long as gamers keep buying em You know what? I find it odd that IGN rated it 9.1 and then have two postings in their timeline of "What's wrong with Destiny Raids". One game should not be the killer of another. Especially comparing CODAW to Destiny is just stupid IMO

27 RisposteBattlefield 4 is head and shoulders above any other FPS Do you disagree? Have you played Battlefield 4? It has no challenger
-
4 RisposteJust watching the streams of it, it looks so....generic now. Titanfall, Destiny, hell even Blacklight Retribution all have what AW is bringing to the table. I suppose it will be great for the kiddies that enjoy the fast paced spray everything until you die shit, but I dunno. I am glad I have no interest in playing because it seems like it will get dull just as fast as Titanfall did
-
Not sure I like all the gadgets they've thrown in there!
-
I felt this about destiny however, once I got used to it and/or hit the end game of the light level concept I was hooked. Unsure whether to get AW though
-
23 Risposteare people literally this retarded ? why waste money on AW when HALO MCC is coming in 8 days ? the king of fps games is back with a bang nobody is going to stop this hype train infact not even cod can :)
-
5 RisposteSo ive been hearing that the zombie mode is on the disc but u have to pay for dlc to unlock it? Can u confirm since u have the game?
-
Destiny may be a good game but it is by no means a 'step above mechanics wise.' The 30fps and sluggish controls leave no comparison to the speed and smooth feel that Call of Duty is famous for and has pulled off consistently since Cod 4. Think what you may of the overall game of Call of Duty, but I was in a dream playing AW after so much time playing Destiny and I played Destiny on my PS4 and AW on my friend's PS3.
-
I kind of agree. Imo the pvp in destiny feels a lot cleaner. Hits register more accurately and pvp feels more fluid. Hell you dont even have as much jumpy idiots in destiny pvp than you do in AW i just finished AW and the campaign was awesome. So many cool weapons etc. the pvp seems super hard though. Im averaging like five kills a game lol people jump around so much. But all in all i love both these games and i cant wait for assassins creed next week and the WoW expansion a few days after. Its a good month for gaming. Thats for sure. :) peace

17 RisposteLol best FPS till 7 days from now haha The True King Of FPS Multiplayer Returns.
-
Hell no. Destiny movement is so stiff
-
It's supposed to feel different. It's a brand new call of duty. People complain of the same rehashed game every year, so try tried to give you something different.
-
2 RisposteIGN gave it a 9.1 http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/11/03/call-of-duty-advanced-warfare-review
-
The reason I love Destiny is the gameplay everything else about it is half-azs. The gameplay holds it together for me though.
-
Activision wins. They found a way to release 2 games a year. Bravo
-
2 RisposteI agree. AW is so blah. Destiny really has the best gunplay. Plus in AW you can't hear any footsteps but your own. Guy can be right next to and nothing. I've never been shot from behind so much.
