Ice Breaker , Destiny you ruined it
So today Zur has the item Ice Breaker..... ARE YOU -blam!-ING KIDDING ME BUNGIE????!!! what do we look forward to in this game now if your going to give everyone the best -blam!-ing items in the game every single week? Don't dare say 17 strange coins is tough to get bc if you can't get 17 strange coins in a week you are terrible and should never play again scrubs , Hey maybe next week you should give everyone the rarest ships and sparrows in the game then the following week give Zur full raid gear so everyone can be the best in the game and quits this foolish broken game , Please comment so I can listen to you nerds rant and laugh at you

Because they can definitely use this weapon a ton. I find it so funny that people (not the OP specifically, I mean the forum in general) complain about shotguns, fusion rifles and snipers all at once. It's like they can all be used at once. Or with exotic primary's too!

So they get the Ice Breaker and then go into Crucibles and still get their butts whipped. The skilled player will always outsmart the unskilled player even if they do have a better gun and gear.

The ice breaker is decent, but it's not one of the best weapons in the game. There are much better snipers out there; the ice breaker just has no clip.

It requires carrying/keeping different pieces on hand to suit an individual's play style. Also, initially everyone will of course use the weapon they just purchased but given time everyone adjusts, re assesses their skills/needs in a group and outfits themselves accordingly. The person who once bought Suros may be solely using a thorn they acquired through the bounty to level it or maybe that is their go to now.. you need (mostly as we've seen) strong teammates to do the best missions for the chance at good gear anyway. I for one welcome a boss fight with a firing squad composed of ice breakers. #pewpewpew

There is something about raiding an instance over and over again to get great loot. There is a status to it that is well deserved and I can understand where a vendor selling it can seem to diminish what you've earned in a raid instance. But you need to be comfortable with yourself! I think you need to keep in mind that the gear doesn't give others skill. You'll still be respected in your circle of friends and even with similar gear, you have the advantage of experience and skill that will set you apart from others.

Oh yes, I earned my hawkmoon by a purple engram turning into an exotic. I did not earn my lucky raspberry, suros, or ice breaker, by grinding for strange coin.

1 RispondiIts funny how people say they earned a random drop. Thats like a crackhead saying he earns his welfare check. If you are good at using the Ice Breaker than shut the -blam!- up. Im sure 70% of those that actually earned it can't even use it. Also yes I said those that bought it earned because they were shooting for a goal to earn enough currency to buy what ever weapon it may have been. You just had it dropped in your lap. It is a weapon that Bungie and Activision created. How can the video game Destiny possibly ruin one of its own weapons? By giving it to other players, if that's your idea of ruining a weapon, then Destiny is not for you. On the plus side of this all however, I feel that Bungie and Activision did this for a reason. So many players were complaining about Suros Regim be over powered. So they added the Ice Breaker; which everyone seems to think is the best weapon. And in order to equip Ice Breaker, they have to un-equip the Suros Regim.

3 RisposteHardest thing I ever did was the Phogoth Nightfall back when it was around. I wasn't geared well, and, well, junk was hard. I feel that I earned every single green and blue engram that dropped there. As I hovered over it and held Square I felt a little bit of that accomplishment shrinking as it turned into Sapphire Wires. Now that level 8 Strike I did on Earth for that Queen's bounty was easy. Didn't die and breezed through it in 15 minutes, tops. That legendary scout rifle I got from a drop there I felt was not earned. So, about that Ice Breaker here. I'm sure there's lots of people out there that have tried hard to get the legendary items they have, and maybe some of them were never even lucky enough to see an exotic drop, let alone get an exotic bounty. They did the weekly quests, and they slowly accrued the Strange Coins that they have. Those that are buying the exotics this way did work for it, and they earned it as much as the next guy. Xur(with an X) is Bungie's way of saying "I see you've worked hard. You didn't win the RNG lottery, but this is how we say 'thank you for playing'". In PVE I'm more than happy with my teammate having the gear to not be a crutch in a fight. I don't want to see an encounter we lose to by only a sliver of the enemies health. By all means, give them the gear to make them appreciated, and not a regret. In PVP, well, what do I care about in PVP if you have an Exotic Sniper Rifle or not? No matter how good or bad the rifle is it's going to be a 1-shot kill. Besides, I'm a *insert class here*. A sniper rifle is the least of my worries.
