I guarantee you all this...
I bet my Destiny pre order and 200 American Dollars that on the first day of Destiny being released, we will see several level 20's already.

2 RisposteWell it takes a little less than 2 hours to hit level 8 and still have no idea what's going on with the story. so yeah level 20 should be like 5-8hrs.

I believe the experience gained and leveling up had increased rates for the beta, but even so im sure they're well be people who reach lvl 20 pretty quickly. I'm excited to see how tough the campaign might actually get if the leveling rate is similar to the beta though.

who cares, someone going to start playing at 12:01 and be up in levels in know time. Some will do it to post on youtube or twich while others will actually race to be the first person to reach the level cap or get a particular rare weapon. it sucks to be them, they will not come close to enjoying the game as much as we do.

If you look at the levels for each story mission, they are leveled in succession. I fully expect that the completion of each event will net you enough EXP to level up.(or close enough that the difference is minimal) So basically I think the time to reach 20 will be closely related to completing most or all of the story mode.
