Any ideas on how to make 40 dollars before destiny comes out. Im 16 years old and my parents dont want to buy this awesome game for me (mainly because they think 60 dollars for a game is crazy(they are pretty old and still think games cost less)). Also don't give me they are trying hard to get by, my parents make alot of money more than enough, but they don't want to buy it. Also looking for a summer job my age, with no experience and at this time in new york sucks because since the economy sucks most of the jobs teens work on during the summer are taken by ppl with more and better experience. So any ideas ............. Thanks

Camp outside the game stop and try to catch a grill on release night. U might get lucky and get a ghost edition.

They won't buy it for you because they want you to learn that everything you want isn't going to be handed to you. If you want something, work for it. Mow lawns, get a paper route, wash cars, get a job at McDonald's or any other fast food restaurant. I'm 23 and have been working since I was 14, no reason a 16 year old can't find work. You need to actually look for work instead of making excuses like the economy is bad. One thing you could do is get on craigslist, with your parents supervision obviously, and search for oddjobs on there that people post up. Good luck.

Mow some lawns, take out some trash, wash a few cars. Pretty standard.

Modificato da Zeek730: 8/3/2014 11:57:33 PMAsk 1 for $20 because you want to go to the movies with friends, then 2-3 weeks later ask the other for the same reason. Go out stay out for 3-4 hours. Put he money down as soon as you get it so you won't spend it

I got my first job by walking around to peoples houses and asking if they needed any yard maintenance. That was when I was 13, really you should have a part time job by now. Send out some applications.

2 RisposteModificato da mukdukdeathkill: 8/3/2014 11:31:38 PMMow people's lawns! Put up signs around your neighborhood. $5 per lawn. It's cheap, so people will jump all over it. Mow 8 lawns, you've got your game. WIN. When you say NY, do you mean NYC? I'm from Buffalo, so when people say they're from NY I don't automatically assume they mean NYC)

Modificato da Encrypted Engram: 8/3/2014 11:43:35 PMGet a job. People always complain that its so hard to get a job. Its really not. Just don't be picky. For the kind of jobs you should be trying to get as a 16 year old, they don't really give a damn if you have experience or not. Just apply literally everywhere. even if they aren't hiring, because then when they DO need someone, they'll already have your application. You don't need to see a "now hiring" sign in the window to go in and ask for an application.

Start a non-profit(unethical) or you can sell things on eBay. The key to selling things on eBay is making them seem special. People always buy special things. Like a lamp, but when you list it put it as a Magic Lamp. You could always do a kick starter and say it is to be your hero, bestfriend, or whatever. Then offer varying degrees of awards for donations. I saw one on trying to purchase "white privilege" and would have donated had I not been in the middle of transitioning from college.

Apply for jobs like crazy. You'll make a lot more than the $40 you need for the game. Chances are you'll get some job even if it's a shitty one that you only work for a little while. At least you'll have some experience then.

3 RisposteGiven the fact you are 16 years old, there's a few things you can do: 1. Ask your parents if you can do chores at $1-$5 a chore. 40 chores gets done faster then you think. 2. Lemonade stand, $2 a drink. 3. New York you say? No grass so lawn mowing is out of the question, but you can always clear out gutters. 4. Automotive shop for manual labor. My first job netted me $50 a week doing that in California when I was 16 and the automotive shop guys will appreciate having an extra hand. 5. Go around, collect plastics, bottles, and cans and turn them in at 2 cents a can to your local can agency. $40 will come quick if you get enough rounded up on your street and/or block. 6. Offer to help out your neighbors with any chores they have and do a really good job on it. 7. You can always go to local grocery marts and help them with things like trash disposal (you just toss it away once it gets big and heavy, but it pays nice. $10 a bag typically.) Besides that, go get an old fashioned newspaper and look in the wanted sections for small time gigs which will net you money and make sure you talk to your parents or whatever you use to get to those jobs.

Ask your parents for $10 every time you out with your friends. Say it's for pizza or something. But don't spend it. Sooner or later your parents will pay for the game without even knowing. you have to have friends though
