Is hating a nationality racist?
I overheard a guy being called racist for disliking Chinese people. He said he had no issue with Asians, and even had a Korean wife. He just had beef with the Chinese.
Was he being racist?

Irrational hatred is stupid and counterproductive. I don't think we need to attach a bad label on something we don't like to know that its wrong.

In some instances where an ethnicity is only found in primarily one country or something, but otherwise it's not racist. Like, you can hate Canadians, but not hate all white people.

Kind of, yeah. If he hated the government, or a part of their culture then that's fine. But generalising the entire population of china is... well, racist. Or Xenophobic at the least.

Nah. Chinese isn't a race anymore than American is. That being said, you can be critical of a country without grouping loads of people together.
