Heat Rises is still bugged and inconsistent on PC...
It's all in the video if you're going to watch it (recommend with subtitles on) but Heat Rises still doesn't consistently work as intended. In the shooting range, and very rarely in regular content, you can float until the timer runs out if you remain motionless, which to me displays the actual intended way the aspect is supposed to work. You can see this in the first and second example in the video. But what happens the vast majority of the time (outside the shooting range) is that you sink and hit the floor with plenty of time left on your buff, even without moving. Even when I do the exact same things in the exact same order, in the exact same situation.
I've heard all kinds of reasons for why it happens. Everything from "stick drift" (I'm playing on mouse and keyboard) to "you have the wrong glide equipped" (I don't change anything about my loadout in the video, yet it works one time in an activity and not the very next time) to "enemies have to be nearby" (no enemies nearby in any situation, and it both works and doesn't work). But the results remain inconsistent, with different results occurring in the exact same situations, and it's really frustrating.
