Sorry.. to clarify.. you may get new gear but it will be mostly useless. I'm F2P for the first time and most of the good stuff is locked away behind the new expansion. I probably have only one decent roll of each of the few new weapons and only Mint is really worth it. It's just not that great.. and the armour grind is really slow. I think it's purposefully done..

F2p gets the same gear people with EoF do.. so I hope you're not referring to kepler weapons and armor, because they're mediocre. The only good weapon people actively go after is mint, which again, is f2p.

I'm referring to the the 2x Expansion HCs and Auto Rifles that are everywhere in PVP. So no, they are not mediocre.

So trials guns lol. Who cares. There are still better weapons out there

And I'm only playing PVP now.. you pretty much can't outgun Graviton Spike unless you also have it. But tell me what better weapons you use in PVP.

Almost any AR right now is capable of competing with GS, granted you have to be able to aim. Sidearms, high impact scouts outrange it, shotguns, almost any other hand cannon lol. GS is annoying, but not even remotely unbeatable. Either wait for bungie to nerf it or practice more.

Your objection to what this guy was saying was definitely designed to go there. Why can't you understand that just because you think there's better weapons than the keplar ones, and gravity spike isn't unbeatable, that there are good guns locked behind a paywall? Nobody cares if you think they're good, we want graviton spike without having to pay for a -blam!- dlc. We want all the weapons without having to pay. We pay too much over the years.
