Pleaaaaase rework the taken shader
Nothing much to complain about, I just think the shader isn’t as flashy as a taken shader looks, it’s still a pretty solid and nice looking one but I think it can look like an actual taken shader like when you look at the enemies.

Absolutely. Was very disappointed it didn’t actually make anyone look Taken.

It doesn't look taken at all to me,Bungie should've just made a cool set of taken armour ornaments. Imagine a taken version(that looks taken like the D1 taken armour set) of the kings fall or crota's end(without the green glow effects) raid armour,That would be so cool.

Closest thing to an actual taken shader is that purple/void shader that they sold for bright dust a while back. If they just did that in black it woulda been a million times better.

The D1 taken armor looks more taken then the shader they made of it for sure, if they can do that I'm sure they could've made the shader look "Taken"

Bungie has no interest in providing us cool looking stuff thats earned via gameplay. They intentionally underdeliver and make gameplay items look trash cause they want to sell the flashy stuff in the eververse store. Thats been their entire strategie ever since Activision ditched them. They were also stingy af with trials loot etc. UNTIL the game almost entirely died and noone but ximmers and carry streamers were playing trials. Then all of a sudden they find the "shower players in loot"-button to bring atleast some player back. Pathetic. Bungie does the bare minimum until they are forced to deliver.

It's as much a taken shader as an umbral engram being a taken engram. It literally has umbral in its name. It's a shader meant for an expansion focused on the nine anyway, not the taken.

I agree that Bungie could do better with animated shaders by giving them more of a glow, or emphasis of illumination on effects to make shaders stand out more brilliantly.

10 RisposteIt was 1000% better in D1 On the hunter it made you completely look like one of their own. I remember I was in Venus doing a bounty and every time I bumped into a fellow guardian I would get shot cause of them thinking I was a taken Good times 😁

2 Rispostei wish it looked less green/teal-ish. they should make the darker parts closer to black and lighter parts closer to white.

The main problem I see is that color channels(what color goes where) are defined by each individual armor piece not the shader itself. A [b]true[/b] taken shader would require that lower body is all white while upper body is all black with a gradient between them and that just isn't possible with the way that shaders are implemented. A true taken effect cosmetic is way more likely to be a holochip. (I know everyone hates those. They should be toggled rather than on a timer imo)

1 RispondiIt was never advertised as a "taken shader". Leakers claimed it as such and as usual, the community just ran with their delusion. The shader is fine and tbh, I quite like it.
