Didn’t take long for Bungie to go back, need to keep us grinding for content

29 RisposteThe power band is back... with a contest dungeon on week 1... so great... I really want to experience burn out the first 2 days of the episode.

Modificato da Shotokan: 9/21/2024 12:39:48 AMAnd you'll still get the piss taken out of you from dregs on the moon

4 Risposte-blam!- Pinnacle power increases. They reset the artifact every season too so it feels even worse to go from being Pinnacle cap +20~, to ten under and no bonus... Such a waste of time.

Modificato da theghost26000: 9/25/2024 1:49:46 AMi really really want to know if this is the “see aye are guy” or the devs that think this is a good idea. i’m guessing datto was consulted to make things as tedious and unfun as can be as he plays deadlock because he hates D2 so much. what a stupid dumb change. i mean this is dumb. totally stupid. it’s almost like they don’t remember they made these idiotic power changes that render this grind meaningless. there’s no reason to raid because raids are not fun. dungeons are not fun either. once you do them going back into them is a chore. no thank you.

Oh ffs bungie. Really?
-
Gotta drive up those engagement numbers somehow… (Sorry if that sounds cynical and or possibly pessimistic.)
-
There isn't even a point in power anymore. Sure Bungie, raise the power cap by 10. It's not like every activity now is power disabled/power disadvantage so there is no reason to grind power to get strong when we never get to be strong.

IMO, the power band should not be brought back and here are my reasons: 1) They stated in the TWID that with the new fireteam power system in place that lower power guardians can complete difficult content with friends of higher power. Thats great for a power “reset” where you have to grind 100 levels but it’s absolutely useless for a 10 level increase. 2) It creates “artificial replay value” meaning it’s the same activities and same rewards we’ve been grinding for what seems like an eternity but you now have to do them to if you want to hit the power cap AGAIN. I understand that it’s an attempt to maintain player engagement but it’s forced and that feels bad IMO. 3) There is the possibility of creating more frustration when a player has been grinding for the gear to hit cap again but you sit on needing a class item or helm for 3 weeks because there is no drop protection. This was an issue before and I don’t see it changing. I’m sure it will stay and this is in no way a bashing of Bungie, or their decisions. It’s simply my opinion and constructive feedback that I hope they will, at least, consider.

42 RisposteModificato da The Hermit IX: 9/19/2024 7:05:18 PMIt’s hysterical that guys like you don’t ever acknowledge the players here that begged for it to be brought back. They said they had nothing to do and removing it made them feel like they weren’t moving forward. They really missed the pinnacle grind. It’s the same with nerfs. Players beg for nerfs on a daily basis and when they eventually happen, players show up to complain but never acknowledge the 10000 posts asking for nerfs. I personally hate pinnacle leveling and feel like it’s the biggest waste of my time but I also understand it’s not difficult to do. You can thank the whiny Karens on the forums for it coming back.

6 RisposteI swear most of you that play this game actually hate it.
-
Who cares if it’s back up do know in groups your power is raised to 5 under to the highest in group. If u don’t want to grind it out then don’t won’t change anything in your day
-
I have highly enjoyed not having to grind power levels for over a year, manage Upgrade Module inventory constantly, worry about being too weak for some activities. This is a bad change.
-
If a little bit of grind ends up being too much they can just remove it but for all we know it could help players feel connected to the game.
-
2 RisposteIt’s annoying that it’s back but at the same time with fireteam power it’s not quite as annoying? I don’t know, seems like an unnecessary thing to bring it back. Or even a lame attempt at getting people to play more for a bad, uninspired reason.
-
It’s just a mild inconvenience when getting prepped for GMs. It’s not a big deal tbh, I’m going to be doing the dungeon anyways so getting to high light isn’t going to be very hard

13 RisposteModificato da Lastmidnight: 9/19/2024 6:14:15 PMOnly a +10 increase, should be fine for people who dont only complain.
