Basically, title. If you intend to start a game thats been going on for 10 years, you should expect to be really far behind and not know what to do. Watch a YouTube video. Stop trying to get bungie to waste resources on something that's a non-issue when activities and rewards are subpar at best.
We STILL don't have a route to guarantee specific drops. We STILL only get to run activities for drops once a week. We STILL only get one 15 minute mission a week for 7 weeks per season. We're STILL missing content veterans ALREADY paid for that bungie decided we didnt need anymore. There are more glaring issues in this game than what some kids experience loading into a 10 year old game for the first time.
Tl;dr screw new lights. Where's the love for the ones who've been here the whole time?

5 RisposteNewsflash for you buddy: you need new players consistently coming into the game and staying, in order for this game to truly grow. This is by far one of the worst takes I have ever seen, and I’ve been around this community for almost 14 years. Yikes.
-
9 RisposteI've seen gatekeeping from this community before. But you're actually in the factory making the gates.

Toxic elitism at its finest
-
1 RispondiNo. That means less new players. Bungie needs to improve it massively.
-
2 RisposteYeah I agree let’s ban all new players
-
2 RisposteModificato da Zodleon: 1/27/2024 3:25:25 AMNew lights should have a legit campaign that is both entertaining and teaches the basics of the systems. On boarding is a necessary part of any game, especially live service. I'm never getting the changes I want so that other stuff isn't a huge deal for me.
-
3 RisposteNope. The full story should be available for anyone that wants to pay for it.

1 RispondiModificato da boi: 1/26/2024 6:27:39 PMGonna disagree here If you threw someone in a game with having little understanding of what to do/how to do it, they’ll likely play the one day and never touch it again I’ve seen new lights be in two predicaments: one being in a welcoming group where they are taught the tips and tricks, the other where they are negatively criticized for being a first timer to endgame content An efficient use of resources would have been to increment population growth while also factoring in quality control > which would appear that the focal points at the time outweighed the importance of minor inconveniences tl;dr don’t speak from emotions; if you’re dissatisfied with the product, there’s no need to be so loyal to it. it’s a game, not a relationship

This is hundred percent comedy gold ! Just like Schwarzenegger telling people to get vaccinated and screw your freedom’ and apologizing years later for that comment.
-
1 RispondiThis is so out of touch. Why can't it be like: Welcome new players! Thank you veterans! Why does one party need to get screwed? Demand better. Not like people haven't paid money.
-
I agree. Nows not the time to get New players, its the time to re-gain their Vets.
-
You're unusually focused on new players with this criticism.
-
1 RispondiI doubt the makers of this game intended for you to make it your life.
-
1 RispondiNah. The new light experience should actually teach players how to actually play the game. Teach mods. Builds. Stats. Weapon effectiveness. Etc. The current tutorial teaches jack all about how the game is played.
-
6 RisposteModificato da John Marston: 1/26/2024 7:22:36 PM-games not attracting new players and therefore is not growing -without new players there is no one to replace the existing players that keep on leaving -as a result bungie misses revenue targets by 45%. billions must lose their jobs
-
1 RispondiNew blood is essential to a healthy title. By saying screw them, you're also saying screw exisiting players.
-
Haha I see your point but Bungie is in overdrive trying to capture as many people as possible . Final Shape has to be flawless to carry on afterwards , if not people will walk . I’m hardly playing havent preordered FS which is a first ….crossfingers

3 RisposteWhere do the good players/veterans come from if there's never any new players? People probably expect to not know what to do they just don't think it should be as confusing to try to figure out. The onboarding experience can probably be better than "you need to watch youtube" regardless of how resource intensive it would supposedly be to improve. "Go watch youtube" bleeds players and causes others to be hesitant about starting and people also complain about having to pay money. Who is supposed to pay the money?
-
15 RisposteI mean the game fails if player count is too low. Not everyone is going to stay so they need to bring new players in. They should give more content out for free and discount other content that isn’t the current annual release.
-
You really kicked the nerd- hive with this one. 😂

This deserves a Heroic forum commendation, too funny. I was gonna make a joke like you'll never be Saints favorite ("Bird is not like gun, you do not squeeze") but blam that noise. We should speak our mind, voice our opinion.. ruffle some feathers 😏 Seasoned and veteran players shouldn't have to cater to new players and vice versa. That's the developers job. Check your Ego at the door was a sign above the entrance of a small warehouse gym I went to for years. The owner created a no bs environment for anyone serious about working out. Ranges of ppl first time picking up a weight, to professional athletes and body builders doing two a days. Members were getting what they came for, so it was common to see athletes and personal trainers giving free advice to beginners in their down time. Which led the beginners to bring their friends to join. Owner didn't cut off his nose to spite his face bc "kinderguardian" or swole "exemplars". Same goes for us tho, I know my cheap as aint got no say or clamor I only paid retail for Lightfall so all my $9 dlcs in total probably paid for some coffee in their break room for a day. Hell I'm just glad they still got their lights on.

Yes there should be NPCs and a proper questline to start it but not to the degree Bungie has. Just have them do a Strike and Patrols and do some bounties stuff that introduces them to the game Tons of other MMORPGs do this
-
I recently started playing warframe, and compared to that, bungie’s new light experience works honestly, only because they’res not much to figure out lol. 4 important currencies and a pretty decent path via the intro quest and guardian ranks.
-
Honestly I’ve always seen Destiny as a retention game. It’s so new player unfriendly. They may as well cater it to existing players and keep the playerbase they have now.

17 RisposteWeird thing to complain about go off

The worst, most unintelligent post on the forums and it's not even noon. Congrats, I guess.
