I'm so sick of being matched with players who have ZERO chance against a stacked, coordinated squad.
This is the single biggest issue that I have with pvp. Bungie, your matchmaking is OPPRESSIVE.

It would be cool if whatever mode it was the whole thing was just freelance so there wouldn't be the problem of people inflating their stats on teams then playing in freelance and making the game think its the same thing.
-
Agreed! As a 100% solo, mostly Crucible player, I yearn for Freelance mode. The times that they've offered it, I've used it.

1 RispondiModificato da Morakx: 9/12/2023 4:06:48 PMThey scared away almost the entire pvp playerbase by doing NOTHING for us pvp'ers AT ALL in literally 3 years. That's why they stopped giving us freelance. Noone is playing anymore so they need us solos as cannon fodder for the stacks. The playerbase is literally THAT low that i have 10+ minute queues on the regular. In frickin QUICKplay and iron banner. Their little "pvp strike team" will do nothing meaningful to bring players back. It's just a little rep boost for them as a "pvp dev" for their dumb upcoming pvp game.

Most players leave now whenever they see a squad. I'm guilty too, it gets old fast

2 RisposteI don’t care what mode I’m in; if there’s a three stack against solos, I’m gone.

Modificato da A_mo: 9/12/2023 2:41:25 PMI've been playing quite a few matches where the stacks were a mismatch and whatever their size when that happens they do seem to have an advantage most of the time. I always liked freelance because the game can put individual people wherever and make whatever kinds of teams. So, especially for destiny, it has the potential to be the best matchmaking. And that's probably for both concepts of competitive. The only problem is some people play on teams far better than they do solo. They could probably learn though.

1 RispondiWhy would it bother you.. a week of iron banner and playing solo against doubles, triples, even 5 man teams was a pain, I win some I lose some stop wanting to play against solo folks... Before sbmm I was getting stacked teams constantly, why do you think I have over 100 crown is mine medals. Please stop crying about how many players you face it’s becoming tiresome 👌🏻

Every game is rigged and matches are decided before u land.

Modificato da Faith: 9/12/2023 6:28:18 PMNo it doesn't. If the 1/10 games you match a team is so upsetting to you put one together or speak to a psychologist
-
There needs to be at least one freelance queue each week. Gamvit should have it full-time. I don't care if the stacks have to wait for other stacks. Not my problem.
-
Freelance much like the flawless pool......will not make up for your losses. Let alone improve PvP as a whole. Bottom line they never ever should have been entertained as an idea. The matchmaking is sorta oppressive but not for the reasons you believe. You could solve your problem by playing like the people you're complaining about.

Modificato da BraddyBo: 9/12/2023 2:34:17 PMSkill and fireteam size are both active parameters within ib/control and the skill parameter takes priority. The playerbase simply isn’t big enough to strictly enforce both parameters while maintaining decent connection unless you want 15min+ queue time for every match. Remove the sbmm part then queue time will be way faster AND both sides will consistently have equal # of solos and equally sized fireteams. We CANNOT have both skill + fireteam balance unless the active pvp playerbase at least doubles in size.

Modificato da Guardian6275: 9/12/2023 12:46:49 PMThe same thing happened in freelance though, so nothing would change. The problem in this game has terrible lobby balancing. You are constantly on teams like this - team 1: good, bad, bad vs team 2: good, good, decent The game is horrible at making teams even remotely equal, so it's usually a blow out. You stomp the other team or they stomp you. Rarely are games close
