ST0MP-335 Nerf thoughts.
First off, yes I'm a hunter main, yes I do play the other characters more than once a week outside of just doing the raid. I would like to ask that the titan mains and warlock mains keep it civil and don't just default to "haha can't play without your stompees?" comments.
Sure st0mp-335 are overused for sure and if Bungie needs to nerf them to bring usage on other exotics up, sure go ahead nerf them, but the way they did it seems a little dumb. Seems to me that an exotic that is made to improve sprinting, sliding, and JUMPING should not penalize you for being in the air as hard as it is going to. From what the TWAB said and what I understand, it seems like st0mp-335 will give a debuff to in air effectiveness so great that you will have worse in air accuracy than if you were to use a weapon in air without Icarus grip today.
St0mp-335 are good, but I feel like the high usage isn't just because they are good, but also because hunter exotics kinda suck as a whole. Yes the new stasis gauntlets are busted, this thread isn't about those and they are getting a hefty nerf as well.
Also watch Bungie put out this sledge hammer nerf for st0mp-335 and then put out an ornament for them next season.
Again, not saying st0mp-335 didn't need a nerd, just saying the way they are doing it is dumb and counterintuitive to how the exotic works.

3 RisposteNext thing on the list should be the rest of the neutral game hunter exotics and dodge to have a cooldown of 30 second minimum. Hunter pvp reign had lasted too long and overdue. Its hunting season.

1 RispondiI don’t think hunter exotics suck, they are just very limited. Like for example hunters have an exotic specifically designed to be used for bows, another for side arms, another for hand cannons etc. then we have hunter exotics that are designed for specific grenades like the trip mine exotic or the one that grants increased chain with arcbolt grenades or the exotic with tracking arc grenades. Hunter exotics force a play style compared to warlocks and titans having more general exotics for abilities and builds. Stompees are just a general buff to movement speed and slide speed which is why I feel is so popular

8 RisposteHunters have a healthy amount of powerful exotics (young Ahamkara’s spine is slept on) that don’t really get used because of the top 3 hunter exotics. They don’t really have the same issue as warlocks where ophidians and transversives are basically the only good options AND they open up build potential.

3 RisposteHunters already had an advantage with airborne battle. They always have their guns ready as opposed to titans and warlocks. Every class has a movement exotic that gives extra benefits. Dunes has lightning, steps has reload, and stomps improved jump.
