Vox Obscura (Master difficulty) for catalyst. Just why?
Can someone who actually enjoys the fact you can only get the catalyst from Master difficulty, explain why exactly that its a good thing its locked to 1580 power?
I am having a hard time understanding the logic of gating half a weapon behind such a high power requirement and said difficulty, with an absurdly annoying timer. Without the catalyst its just a purple wave form grenade launcher that creates a cone of damage instead of a straight line. I have tried multiple times to complete master now in both solo and group, granted I am only 1564 power but its still ridiculous. it means that I essentially need to wait weeks. Just to complete a mission that would normally only take about 15 minutes max. That seems needlessly excessive. At least dead mans tale was fun but this timer nonsense is just ridiculous on this difficulty. Like 1% of the community will get the catalyst the rest will have to wait a 2-3 months before they can get it lol
More over this increase in difficulty through champions is becoming incredibly boring, the solution for difficulty seems to be increase health and add more of them. thats it.
Oh and the lack of a checkpoint before the boss is bs. If you die you're forced to run the corridors all over again. I mean geez, talk about maximum punishment.
Look I understand some people like a challenge and hell I do too, I spent months soloing the whisper quest for Whsiper and the ship, but dear god why just whyyyy.

All this Master Vox Obscura mission did was make me EXTREMELY angry. This isn't fun. This isn't a challenge. This is BS. I am very very sure Bungie either doesn't play this game or the devs cheat through the game. Bravo to those that completed it but this isn't fun. I play Destiny to have fun. Not raise my blood pressure. Bungie needs to reevaluate what they consider a challenge in this game.

4 RisposteEvery seasonal mission has had that. Even in seasons 1-2 and 3 we had that with acrius and telesto and sleeper with the hard mode raids.

7 RisposteI don’t mind the power level requirement as much as the timer. I’ve hated every activity they’ve dropped with timers. I complete them yeah but they aren’t enjoyable imo

Only the no-life kids can get it done right away. Keep trying to get your light up, and do it at the end of the season. There should be more people at higher light then too to help out. That’s my plan anyway.

It's meant to be difficult. Just like the cat for Outbreak Perfected. If you're struggling I suggest you analyse your play style, tactics and loadout. Wed did it as a team while being around 1560ish. It was no walk in the park but doable with a bit of knowledge and the right plan.

14 RisposteHonestly you are complaining just for the sake of it. 1-exotic missions are supposed to be difficult ( you mention whisper yet you cry for this one) 2-cry about the timer( yet you mention dmt that also had a timer) 3- you said you solo whisper( which based on your crying, I say it's sus .) 4- you mention 1580( but I think you blame your lack of proper leveling and you can complete at way less, 1560 with your artifact should be enough which you can get there with blues. Sounds to me that either your strat for the mission is not the right one or..... You just want a handout ( more likely)

7 RisposteAll the catalyst does is adding a perk that give you a shield when destroying shield Not sure you care since you are more on the casual side Instead of complaining either grind or be honest with yourself with what you can and can't do

4 RisposteI did it with 2 others the week it came out, it was absurdly difficult being 12-15 levels below 1580 at the time (as you'd expect) but once you get near 1580 it doesn't feel any different to the normal version (fee extra champions aside).
