Why couldn’t we go without the new power level grind
Soooo up to 1500+ again for another tedious and dreadful grind.
Why can’t you just remove the power leveling and allow the Battle Pass plus the Artifact to become the grind system for numerical value???
The Battle Pass literally resets every big DLC which would fit perfectly for the grind as a numeric value. This would be a great replacement for power level because it rewards players for reaching the ranks throughout the season.
Allow the difficulty system to dictate how hard your content is versus some number system that serves no purpose other than to keep you actively grinding due to FOMO.

1 RispondiGonna take the same time trust me just bigger gaps in gear. You will get 10 to 15 a piece of gear instead of getting 5 pieces at same lvl.

This is kind of how RPGs work. I do kind of wish we got more than just gaining access to certain activities based on our power. One thing that makes the grind up in power that some games have is having gear that requires a certain power level, or new abilities that you unlock by getting higher power level. Not like the artifact mods, but like if Stasis aspects were tied to power level. But tying our power level to our gear kind of limits how meaningful power level can be. When Destiny actually had levels a power grind felt different as you needed to grow into being able to wear armor or use a gun. I don’t think it is necessary to do away with the power grind. But I would like to see it reworked to feel more rewarding and meaningful to increase your power level. At least with the big expansions. One way they could do it is to bring back character based levels. And then making the power level of gear be more like a range. Certain power levels would require specific base character levels. And some of void 3.0’s abilities are unlocked based on your character’s base level.

Yeah I agree it’s been almost 7 years of the light level/power level grind and it was good at first but now I feel we’ve hit this point where our level doesn’t even matter except for gatekeeping high end content. I mean think about it, a grandmaster asks you to be 1345 to enter but if you’re say 1350 or even like this crazy dude I seen who was 1400 it doesn’t matter, bc you get scaled down to 1345 internally. It’s like that for almost all content except for certain activities. You can be 300 levels above something rn like dares and still get clapped by a yellow bar. So obviously levels don’t matter at all so why do we have them? I believe we’re getting a new leveling system by light fall or final shape at the very least bc it can’t go on like this forever

Honestly leveling up is the easiest part of the game imo , IF your not f2p AND purchase the season pass. Without the season pass especially you lose out on the shared wisdom and extra xp from your fireteam members who also have the season pass.

1 RispondiGrinding is the “content” you buy What does witch queen even offer ???? Reissued PvP maps Campaign And a raid you will most likely have to do 50x before getting the exotic lol I forgot about weapon crafting….. Not inclined to pull the trigger so hopefully there is more included content yet to be announced

1 RispondiModificato da KayOsS882: 1/21/2022 2:49:33 AMIt’s pretty much most MMO games. When they have a new expansion, you have to grind to a new level. Destiny is not a full on MMO, but it does implement some MMO elements. Which includes the leveling up to a new light level with new expansions.

1 RispondiGood question- This is beyond pointless and unfun. It’s not like they’re going to let the numbers get large anyway. Does anyone think we’ll be chasing 5000 power level or dealing 8 digit damage? And if they got large, what would it matter? Hopefully people catch on and realize cHasInG bIgGer # for its own sake does not equal fun. Way more fun to collect stuff and make builds.

5 RisposteGoing from 1350 to 1500 power is going to be exhausting honestly. I never have reached the pinacle cap before which sucks. I loved how in the past few seasons we go up by 10 now I have to go up by 200 power again. There is only so much I can do in this game. I love this game but sometimes it burns me out.

5 RisposteI think they should just do a normal progression system with levelling up. You level up, and then get access to better guns/armour. Enemies have levels too. The higher level enemy, the harder it is for you to kill it. Kind of a staple in gaming for a reason I feel.

All the raids will lose the pinnacles so there's no point in doing them unless it's really to finish up some seals.
