It's fun/funny because we laughed at ourselves when we got got running it blind. It's fun because it let's the other player see what was put in place. Once you get through it, you will never forget the path, that's the real point. Fun while learning and seeing Bungie's humor. The traps are cool actually.

People say to grow thicker skin, but who's to say their skin shouldn't be thinner? People are different and that's just the way we are. The problem here is that you are the minority while the thick skinned people are the majority, thus most will view you as wrong. Having thin skin is fine in my opinion, but if you are going to expect people with thick skin to change it won't happen.

The Traps in this Dungeon are less of a problem than what I've encountered in other games Imagine if Bungie decided to take notes from John Romero and hid High Tier enemies behind walls that came down after walking past a invisible line Grasp of Avarice and Pit of Heresy have nothing on the stupid stuff you'd see in DOOM Monster Closets are more annoying than some Instant Death trap

Wtf actually ... Man this is pathetic . Do people even think before they post -blam!- like this ? Getting hurt over traps in a dungeon that you literally learn after 1-2 times falling victim to them. I can't.

I'll help you through the dungeon if you like. I'll tell you where the traps are but if you die that's on you.

A little self deprecation is good for the soul. Come to terms with yourself, be secure in your identity and it won't bug you as much anymore. When I was a kid(a long time ago) some friends invited me to their house to play video games. When we got their they ran ahead, locked the door and went to the top floor of the house and threw clay pots at me. And hit me with some of them. I later got even, by destroying their treasured fort with an axe they had been building the fort for years. The point, was that was bullying, bullying is when you are picked on to separate and isolate you and as a kid I was relentlessly bullied and it was a living hell at times, but it made me stronger. What your complaining about is being hazed, it's being picked on as part of being included in an event, and in this case it's completely harmless as it is using a video game character and the only thing being bruised is your ego.

You never trolled a newbie in GoS with the fake portal or told them to stand in the spot where the boss spawns in the third encounter? That's part of the fun. Once you've been put thought it once you won't fall for it again and can troll other people in turn. Just take it as a sort of rite if initiation, lol

So in short you got baited into falling into traps and feel like you're being bullied.......

Bullying is when you seek to Harm intimidate, or coerce someone. None of these things can happen by stepping on a trap, or being told to *in a game* You're not harmed: it doesn't damage your progress, you arnt locked out of continuing the content and are usually immediately picked back up by your team. There's no way on earth you can use this to coerce someone. And the traps arnt intimidating- nor is a random voice on the other end of your console telling you to walk this way. So Why do people do it? Because it's harmless, and gets a fun reaction from the person. My friends reactions to the barrell dropping down was hilarious. I'd have gone on a limb and said that nobody on earth would feel ashamed for setting off a trap that again, doesn't actually have any real negative effects, but since you've said you do I'm not really sure where to go from there. You're being the butt of one joke, and tbh it's not even you that's the butt. It's the trap going off. The reason that's so funny is because we have all died to those traps and can therefore Empathise with the situation... In shorter terms, it's group bonding. Realistically in this instance your own insecurities are the issue - if people were invading your solo run to kill you, or badger you in order to bugger up your flawless run then yes I'd say they're being dicks. But if everyone is in the Dungeon for a good time, not taking it too seriously, and just wants to mess around then there is no harm, or foul. If anything, your own reaction is phsyically distancing yourself from your friends, since they won't want to joke around with you, if you're going to get upset.

Step 1: Stop seeking out things to get all up in your feelings about. Step 2: Play the game for fun - that is the intent. Step 3: If you're not capable of 1 and 2, stop playing and seek professional help. Running into a team-mate with your sparrow, nuking them with a vex head turret or killing them with your sword can be a good time if you don't let your overly dramatic head get in the way. ✌

With all due respect, I think you need to grow a pair. Did my first run of the dungeon last week, and I died at the trap before the sparrow/mines part. My fireteam didn't give me any sort of warning, but we just laughed it off and continued. There's a difference between messing with someone in a lighthearted manner and bullying someone. Bullying someone is saying or doing hurtful things, coercing, threatening, exploiting, or taking advantage of someone. I didn't experience any of the above.
