I want to, but no pvp maps is a big turn off for me

Some people actually play pvp more than pve, alot of people. We just want more maps not weapons

I am going to log in and get whatever new exotics are released (minus ones that have pvp steps) and that is all.

Who else is waiting for the 30th ann. + witch queen bundle to go on sale sometime next year, after the terrible reviews come in.

I’m looking forward to new content period. The weapons are cool; but I’m really after the gear and ornaments.

Sadly not really. It’s actually depressing in combination with another game I play (SWTOR) SWTOR’s next xpac is on Dec 14th but they are gutting every single class (removing 1/3 of the abilities, and “locking” another 1/3, and less abilities overall and being bumped to lv80, means the leveling process is horrid. You only have 3-4 abilities till lv23) making the gearing system not only convoluted and trash, but locking it to elitist toxic people ONLY again (they opened endgame gearing to solo players and newbs 2-3 years again and the majority of players liked it), and they are only adding a daily area and 1 Flashpoint (think a strike as equal) for the “xpac”. A lot of my people I used to play with have left the game because of these changes and it’s depressing. 😞 (In addition to I have loved Star Wars since I was 6, the game was released literally 2 weeks after my little brother died in my room 7 feet from my face, and the game has helped me cope for years, and I don’t want to see it ruined. 😞) And with Destiny 2, it’s depressing as well. Removing stuff I paid for……I get the whole “We need DCV because the game is too big!”, but look at what the Halo MCC does, have them as optional downloads then? Then you can still sell the old storyline content and people can pick and choose what they want to have downloaded. Seasonal mods I detest. I want to use the guns I like, not be forced into using guns I don’t like. Wish they were on the guns or universal so I could free up my arm slots. Abilities being nerfed and buffed I’m not 100% upset about, for me I just don’t want them to ruin me farming the achievements for the classes. Paying $25 bucks for a dungeon and some cosmetics? I’d buy it if it was like $15 bucks, but $25 is maybe too steep. (Still havnt bought Witchqueen for the same reason, and Bungie’s new updated EULA wording was concerning.) And yeah, the political stuff is BEYOND annoying, but I will be honest, if there is still a way to play and ignore it without it being forced down my throat (Ie: having options. Which is a good thing.), then I should be fine. And with the price tag being so high, I can’t get my mom and brother to play and be a fire team as well, which sucks and just makes it more depressing. 😞 I can’t solo any dungeon, tried but failed multiple times and gave up. I barely got the LLS and MLS done. (And I HATE that new exotics are locked behind that content I detest.) So have to do them with fireteams, which are hit or miss (and can’t forget just straight up people not doing them.) and I can’t use my own fireteam either because they have to pay extra. And I really WANT to be excited for the anniversary event, HALO cosmetics?!?!? 😳😱 I was SO looking forward to them. I WANT to be excited for TWQ. But in combo of this time of year sucks, I hate it, it’s depressing, the poor choices and decisions Bungie (and BioWare for SWTOR) are making, they just completely drain any hype or excitement I would have for any new content…….. Which makes the depression and sadness worse. 😞

That’s exactly it. I think it would be more appropriate for them to fix some of the issues that have been in the game ever since I started playing than to reintroduce some old rocket launcher that in the season of fusion meta is not going to be a big thing anyway. Also the other weapons … I don’t know. Every season people tell me this or that weapon is great in PvP. But in the end everyone runs the same stuff as before - Pali maybe being an exception.

A new dungeon, at least for me, means most likely another solo flawless challenge. Plus new dungeons are typically some of the best content they come out with. I don’t think the 30th anniversary event is meant to be some giant DLC. But I’m sure it’ll be cool. You’re really gonna complain about a new dungeon being in the game?

Nah game got boring after not enjoying another Timegated season of -blam!- content which is just do this one thing for every week!

Not very excited. I just don’t ever play PvP in destiny and haven’t in a very long time. If I want to PvP I switch games. I play this game for the PVE but I’m not seeing anything that makes me want this addition. It’s new crucible maps and crucible weapons that I don’t have space to keep so I won’t farm them. It’s a dungeon that gets me what for PVE? I’m sure it will be fun but not $30 worth of fun. Don’t really care about Gally since it’s a fusion meta. Never use rockets anymore and with all the recent & upcoming changes I don’t see how that’s going to change. Build variety was already reduced this season with the mod and ammo drop nerfs in PVE and with all the upcoming nerfs to space magic due to crucible yet again punishing the PVE side I’m not going to buy it. Until I know the nerfs aren’t just a year one rewind I’ll pass on anything new. After all I had to just buy the legendary edition now that it’s not on game pass (which was the only reason I paid for game pass) so I’m not going to pay anymore.

Well my 50th wedding anniversary is coming up soon... I'm going to ask my wife to pay up for the gift and see what happens. ..... maybe no 51st anniversary. :(

Don't buy it then...it's easy. It's not like you've got to pay for it and there's nothing to do. It's a choice..honestly, I don't know what you're trying to achieve. It's like posting that you hate prawn -blam!- crisps: there's plenty of other flavours (games) to choose from so just go eat (play) the ones you love.

How is all that any different from any other dlc? Of course you’re just jumping back into the hamster wheel to farm for gear. That’s what this game is. The year is the carrot. Story is fleeting. Over in a flash. The hunt for gear is what keeps us playing after the story parts have concluded. And yes, some like to try their new gear in the crucible. I’m kind of excited. Looking forward to having something new to do in the game. Interested in seeing what D2’s Gally is going to be like. It could be hilariously broken for a week or until WQ releases and it gets patched/nerfed hard. It may be very tame and get as much play as Two Tailed Fox. But I want to find out.
